Bleh... I guess it's time that I throw my change in. I think that it's slightly more than two pence, but I'll toss it in. Perhaps six pence, none richer. ;-)

I am going to toss in a poem here at first. If I get comments on it, I will post more. This is one that I threw together one night. I have insomnia, so I get a lot of time to do whatever. Some nights I feel like writing. Most of it is serious, but I think I will start out with a lighter piece.

Me and My Blanky
Ryan Riverside

I sit and clutch my blanky
And wrinkle my nose,
'Cause that boy is stanky!
And I deplore how much the smell grows

The boy doesnt notice
The boy doesnt care
He scratches all orifices
Ignorant of all the stares

He suddenly jumps
And clutches his behind
And sits back down with a plump
And a squishing sound close behind

We all open our mouths quickly in horror
Then snap them shut to shut out the newest smell
We run to the corners
To get away from the nasal hell

As I snuggle my face
Deep into my blanky
We all begin to race
To get away from Ole' Stanky

Finally I run into a lady
She looks at me in surprise
She thinks I'm acting shady
And asks me for a rise

So to elevate
Her mental state
Very irate
I begin to speculate

After struggling for a while
Finally I muster the courage of a viper
And say, choking down the bile
"Ms. Crumpet, won't you change Stewey's diaper?"

As I warned, most of my poetry is serious, as can be noted by this piece. Again, I would truly appreciate any comments that anyone has.

And Now That Dream Is Gone From Me
Ryan Riverside

A man looked up at the night sky
Reached for the stars searching his mind
As if to pluck them into hand
Eyes fell down to gaze at his reach

He looked to the ground seeing truth
He fell upon it embracing
His heart his mind all were racing
Nothing could make him stay for to soothe

Careless touching Midas’ Temple subject to
What-have-yous What-say-yous Golden Touch of death
Mars upon the shining yellow splendor make
Men whose very lives become what’s at stake

“All the wide world is up for the taking”
Yet it is not for not all can be bought from
And not all things can be taken And yet still
Some try to take all for their own selfishness

And thus he stood for all that had been gained to him
Remembering his sunbeam on Winter’s Day
Standing in the blackness asking himself why

The man looked up at the night sky
Reached for the stars searching his mind
As if plucking them into hand
Eyes falling to gaze at his reach

He looked to the ground seeing truth
He fell upon it embracing
His heart his mind and all racing
Naught could make him stay for to soothe

And yet all good things must come to an end
Even the mighty may topple with ease
Some of things will never can never mend
Some people must go with unforgiveness
With that even some hurts run far too deep

It was a solitary utterance
One that was unforgivable but yet
Who has the right to forgive anyone
“Beljarvis” said she a slap in the face
The foundations of life crashed out of place

Thus looked the man at the night sky
Reached for the stars searching his mind
As if plucking them into hand
Eyes fallng to gaze at his reach

He looked to the ground seeing truth
He fell upon it embracing
His heart and mind and all racing
Naught would make him stay for to soothe

The dreams of life hopes for tomorrow
All were shattered and gone away
Nothing was left but shock and despair

All the work done was it all for naught
Something must be said for what was fraught
All that was is now forever lost

How could one word tear down his power
Stripped of all he’s naked in the dark
Man with nothing stood at the cliff edge

This man looked up at the night sky
Reached for the stars searching his mind
As if plucking them into hand
Eyes falling to gaze at his reach

He looked at the ground, seeing his truth
He fell to its crushing embrace
Heart and mind screaming in his pain
Naught could have made him stay to soothe

As he fell he saw his own life
He saw toil hardships and strife
Betrayals backstabbings and pain
He saw until the word was said

All was lost and all was in vain
All’s gone there was nothing to gain
He’d rather this than rather not
In his mind he stood at the edge still

Hopeless man looked at the night sky
Reached for the stars severing minds
As if plucking them into hand
Eyes falling to gaze at his reach

He looked at the ground seeing its truth
He fell to its crushing embrace
Heart and mind anticipating
Naught did make him stay for to soothe

Hopes have been lost and dreams crushed
All falling victim to chance
To think where he would have gone
Had he not heard “Beljarvis”
Much that once was is now lost
Much that could have been will not
All from fear of one small word

Hopeless men look at twilight skies
Reaching for stars searching their minds
Grasping them from hell into hands
Eyes falling to gaze at their reach

They look at ground and see its truth
And fall to its crushing embrace
Hearts and minds anticipating
None to make them stay in the Earth

Dismembering derogatory decimating forsaking crushing tearing ripped words that are as a
“Beljarvis”
