BEGINING ON THE PAGE 4

i was wondering if anyone around here ever played vampire.
i wanted to enter a party, but no-one i know has one, so i hoped someone would like to do a party here. i am a real newbie in vampire, so don't blame me if i just said something stupid.

oh and i also need a storyteller (duh)

Thank you so much

PS i don't quite roam this part of the forum much, so the best thing is, if you are interested, just pm me and i'll reply.

Where can I sign up? I'm pretty experienced with the Masquerade rules, though not as a Storyteller. I even did 2 live sessions :D. Like Rauven, I don't roam these parts of the forum very often, so if you want me aboard, just PM me. By the way, I've got a 3rd? edition basic Masquerade rulebook here (the one with the rose on the front), so no problems there. I'd be very, very happy to join. Anime_Queen, can you function as a Storyteller?

er, can anyone tell me the basic rules, I'd like to play aswell

Sun Aug 20, 2006 1:25 am

I think it best to first get this thing off the ground, and then explain the rules. By the way, when you do this stuff online, you mostly don't use most of the rules in the book anyway. But I trust you know what Vampire: the Masquerade is about, at least, beyond just vampires? Also, I think we should wait for reply from Rauven and Anime_Queen first. It's their thread, and there's nothing more annoying than a thread hijacker (or two  ). But I think they'll be glad to have a player or two extra. Three should make a coterie (group of players).

Make that +1 more! I'd gladly join! It looks complicated, but I think that it'll make more sense once it starts... the Storyteller stuff is confusing.

Sun Aug 20, 2006 1:55 am

WOW so many volunteers! yay!!!! i never got into a vtm before, but always loved what my friends told me! let's do this then! Queen, are you up to the task of the storyteller?
i'll do some reseach on my vamp type! (i have forgot the name  )

PM me at will! i don't roam here much

This looks like a good site. Ignore all the crap below, and if you read all the stuff from 'Prologue' to 'The Independent Clans', you should have a good understanding already. But read everything, including the links in The Camarilla and The Sabbat and stuff like that,to get to know the clans. You can read the other stuff too, but if you read the above, you'll have a good starting point.

IMPORTANT EDIT: Seems I overlooked something: click on Quickstart (Html or PDF) on the right, and you have all the basic rules at your fingertips. Below that is a character sheet.

er, I've never actually played this before, nor heard of it, but vamps = happy, so I thought I'd give it a shot :D

EDIT: Oh, and do the characters have to be girls? The site only says 'she'.

Whether or not to go to sleep or break into hysteric fits :D - it's 6AM here, I'm gonna go sleep. Think about your background a bit, read everything (including the rules, even if we're probably not going to be using a lot of them - it'll give you a good basic understanding of how the game works, and they contain character creation rules) And just a reminder for everybody, Anime_Queen still has to agree to be Storyteller. Hope she'll accept. Also, I'm not running this game (for the moment) but the Storyteller will probably want only Camarilla or friendly independents as characters.

Well, night!

Sun Aug 20, 2006 4:13 am

yeah, i think it would be too much of a confusion if there were both camarilla and sabbat sides. i vote for the camarilla, because of the more in-depth of the storytelling.

Edit: sorry the double post, i thought the file should have a proper post on it's own.

you all can start doing your own files. please dont create vampires older than 50 undead years

read your clan with attention before you start doing the file

each clan is different that the next, so don't try and copy my description, just follow the name, then clan, then status... so everyone has it decently organised.

once everyone has the files aproved by me (LOL) and the storyteller says something to us, we'll get this progect off the floor

Description:
Although a Ventrue, Rauven will do anything to achieve his goals, which are preety much be in top. He's not affrait to bend the same rules he forces others to follow with an iron fist. His brutallity is very-well known, and what he lacks in physical force, he overowns in psychic.
When alive, he was poor, although with great visions of the future. His master made sure that Rauven would have all the money he could. It was this quick status and wealth rise that began his power-thirst.
At the begining he drank any O- Type of blood, adquiring the passion and finesse for the brunette virgins after awile.

Vampire Xander

Clan: Malkavian
Status: Neonate
Age when killed: 21
Haven: Wherever he can sleep

Clan aptitudes:
+1 trickery

Advantage: Lunatic's Insight, Once per story, the Malkavian may make a Mental roll (difficulty 4); if he succeeds, he may ask the Storyteller one yes-or-no question about the current situation, which must be answered truthfully.

Weakness: Mad fits, At the beginning of the game session, the Storyteller rolls a six-sided die. The number rolled is the number of times he may ask the Malkavian's player to make a Psychic roll (difficulty 4). The Storyteller may call for this roll at any time. If the player fails, the Malkavian falls into a frothing, gibbering fit for one turn. While in the fit, the Malkavian may do nothing except writhe, babble and twitch; she may not even defend herself if attacked.

Traits:
Physical: 1
Mental: 4
social: 3 (skill I used the +1 in)
Phychic: 3

Disiplines:
Basic Auspex
Basic Obfuscate

Description:
Has a dislike for vampires of the Toreador and Tremere clans. Also has good skills with computers becasue he was a computer technician in the past life. He is sub-consciously surching for his wife, who ran away when he tried to kill her in a fit of homicidal rage that are typical in Malkavians. His insanity is more towards harmless crazy than to the serial killer crazy, with the occasional violent outburst. He has come to Miami in his wanderings, as he generally doesn't stay anywhere long.

Steriotypes
Nosferatu - Ugly little beasts, but they have their uses.
Ventrue - bloody stuck up jerks. Besides that, they're decent leaders.
Gangrel - evil, vile, creepy beings that must be destroyed at all costs.
Toreador - Kindred that do nothing but act snooty and look pretty, thay are a blemish on the face of the Kindred that must be removed when the time arrises.
Brujah - meatheads that can be good for help, but should be avoided
Tremere - They. are on. To us. (had to copy the book, this is 1337)
