"Mom! I'm going!" Hikaru yelled.
"Alright. See you then." As soon as her mother's response came, she quickly closed the door and trotted in what seemed like a totally random direction. Which it was, but not completely.
She checked her watch. She still had a couple of hours left before the professer expected to see her.

Hikaru soon found herself nearing a group of trees. Trees planted in a circle, how interesting, she thought as she went closer. Realizing someone was already there, she quietly moved among the trees until she found that it was the white mage. Already too late to turn back, she wondered what the consequences she would recieve if she were found hiding.
Hikaru jumped a bit as Ai stood up, but just decided to go on with her mission. Turning away, she continued quickly once again, this time toward the warrior main quarters.

((I hope you don't mind I used your opening?))

The next morning, Jeroyva woke up to find his commander waiting outside. "Did you kill the mage?" asked the man.
"I attempted to, but a General Thorn in the Dark Blade stopped me. He nearly killed me, because he fused with a White Mage." replied Jeroyva. The careful lie would probably not be recognized. Not immediately.
"Well, then kill him today. If Thorn is there, kill him. Kill anyone involved with him. If those mages are working with the Blade, then destroy every one of them. But no more failure," replied the commander.
"I'm not sure I can do that..." said Jeroyva, quietly "not if i do this!" He jumped toward his commander and shoved his dagger through the man's chest. He twisted the blade, and the commander was dead. The commander probably hadn't reported about Jeroyva's mission, so the firey blade would look like a mage attack.
Maria looked at her brother, horrified. "I knew you had to do things like that, Jeroyva... but you never told me it was so... gruesome." She looked down. "Now I understand why you want this war to end, all the doubts you've been having. The pain on his face was agonizing, but the worst was that, in a way, he deserved it. If he wasn't a killer... if this island wasn't full of killers... nobody would be killed. No one would deserve to be killed."
Jerovva nodded. "I don't think anyone completely deserves to die, but sometimes we're forced to kill for the greater good. I just wish other people would realize that; ignorance of that fact is the cause of war."
"Do you think the Professor will need to go into hiding?", asked Maria. "Plus, I'd like to meet him. Is he young?" She laughed.
"Not at all," laughed Jeroyva, "but I'm sure he could introduce you to someone if you're that desperate."
They went to the Professor's house.

(not at all hikaru! ^^)

Ai wondered if she should call out to the shadow of a figure she had just seen. With only a fleeting glimpse of it, she was not sure if the figure was a human, illusion, or simply Ai and her old age. As white strands of hair blew past her face, Ai walked forward. As the walk continued to a stride, she heard herself calling out,"Wait!"

Sat Jan 20, 2007 11:36 am

Hikaru hesitantly stopped and slowly turned around.
"Good morning." she said shyly.
Finding that she had nothing more to say, she fell silent, but was glancing around quickly. Where should she search next?

Sat Jan 20, 2007 1:25 pm

Eragonia Lept out of bed.She had heard someone shouting right outside her cave. She got her sword and started looking for anyone other than her.

Sat Jan 20, 2007 6:36 pm

Ai froze once again...there was a mage about. She turned her head towards the forest of trees and spotted a cave nearby. Ai turned to Hikaru.
"Please do not be afraid. I have rare company and though I look young, I'm ancient. I would rather talk to you. But right now...be silent. We may have an unwanted intruder. It might be friend as well."

[[Wow, a WM with a sword. Unusual, with the whole "vow of peace" and "no physical strength whatsoever", but oh well.]]

"Professor!" shouted Jeroyva. The Professor was remaking the sword which Thorn had taken. "Are you safe?"
The Professor looked over. "Is that your sister? Hello. So you were saying... Oh, yes. No one else saw the battle, so we should be okay. And you?"
"I had to kill my commander. His last order was to kill any mage who might be involved with Dark Blade. Either he's feigning ignorance, or only a few people know about the connection. Either way, he's harmful to us."
"I understand," replied the Professor. "But there is danger no matter what we do. We should move with caution."
"The fact that they found my home is evidence enough. They shouldn't have known where I was. They're keeping track of... a lot more than they should."
The Professor invited them into his house. "It's not the safest place," he siad, "but you can stay here so the Warriors can't locate you."

(im gonna start my char's silly ness just about...NOW!)

As Zen was breezing thru the neibourhood, he walks by the professor's house, and when he spots Jerovya, he shouts "THIEF!!!", and runs around and bumps into a tree.

Sat Jan 20, 2007 10:45 pm

Jeroyva looked out the window. "Yes, thief. And?" He looked at the Professor. "That's our dilemma, no one will want peace with everyone. That's impossible."
Maria looked at the Professor. "But is peace impossible then? That seems like cruelty." She looked down, then looked at Jeroyva, who spoke:
"No. Peace is the ability to not act on our hatred, to hold back on anger, and to control our desires."

[[Profile for Maria.]]
Profile:
Name: Maria
Gender: Female
Age: 13
Description: The sister of Jeroyva, Maria was too young to remember her dead mother when she died- but she remembers her legacy, and what Jeroyva has told her. Over the last ten years, she's devoted herself to being like the mother she doesn't remember.
Alignment (Mage or Warrior): Mage
Mage Specific:
Color (Black, White, Red, or Blue): Black
Element(s) used (Fire, Water, Wind, Dark, Light, Earthen): Fire, Dark

[[A bit of genetic information. I felt obligated to write this, since Jeroyva and Maria are of different alignments.]]

Mages first appeared in the world as a result of very specific, but accidental, interbreeding in the human race. Several genes, in a particular combination, allowed humans to tap into a power long lost. Most of the time, because of the genes involved, mages reproduce mages, and warriors reproduce warriors. Occasionally carriers of both genes will be born, who can reproduce either offspring.

Eragonia looked out.She saw a girl with flowing black hair."I've seen her before!"Eragonia shouted.

((looks like a good a spot as any...))

A red mage waked into the Proffeser's house, taking off his hat and putting it on a hook on the wall as he went. "Mornin' proffeser. I'm here for my geomancy lessons." he had heard Zen's shouting before so he already knew there we others here. He didn't really care, if the proffeser was just chatting to him, he sertainly wasn't going to get killed by the guy. "'ello" spoke Stijn to the theif and the girl, slightly dipping his head in greeting.

Jeroyva looked at the mage. Unusual, since Hikaru had said the Profossor had no students. Didn't matter. It made sense, though. He probably knew nearly any type of magic one could imagine. He looked strong, too- probably proficient in the weapons he held. "Mornin' Professor. I'm here for my geomancy lessons," said the mage.
"Ah, Stijn," said the Professor, "I forgot you were coming. The last day has been... eventful. Thorn attacked us unexpectedly. Seems I'm wanted dead." He took a staff off of a mount on the wall, and handed it to Jeroyva. "Might as well teach you aa bit as well," he said, taking a book off of the table behind him. "You'll adapt quickly to it. Your sister- Maria, do you want to?"
Maria, who wasn't obviously a mage at first glance, said, "Yes. I- I know i don't look like it, but Jeroyva has always had me dress like the fighters so they won't realize I'm a mage." She pulled up her sleeve to reveal a tattoo signifying the Order of the Black Mage. She formed a small, black orb and pulled a staff out of it.
Jeroyva looked at the Professor. "I thought you didn't have any students."
"I didn't tell anyone I had an apprentice. But the events of the war have forced me to have someone under me, so that the Geomantic Legacy won't die with me," replied the Professor. "There is danger at any time of my death."

((oops, sorry. missed that part. too much to read at once...))

"What have I missed?" he asked, simply his staff, a long, handcarved staff with countless runes inscribed in it, out of a small rift that appeared about solder-heigth "And who are your visitors here?" He glanced quickly at the girl's tatoo, storing that fact away for future use in his mind.

Sun Jan 21, 2007 2:50 am

"I'm Maria, and this is my brother, Jeroyva," said Maria. "Jeroyva just met the Professor yesterday; I met him just today."
The Professor looked at Stijn. "Thorn and the rest of Dark Blade seems to be working with the Warriors. That could be dangerous, though I'm sure that you figured that already. We can't be sure there's not more to the Blade's plan than that."
He walked outside. "But why waste time trying to stop an immovable force? We need to train now."

Sun Jan 21, 2007 11:45 am

Hikaru simply nodded but was not to worried. Perhaps there was something. But she really had to be on her way. She impatiently scanned the scenery again, but suddenly snapped her head up.
The wind carried smells of magic, the professer's magic, a dark mage's magic, something what would seem to be Jerovya, and........ Stijin!
Well, the professer started training without me, she sighed in her mind. Ah, well.

The silence at least gave her time to think. Where could she find information about the Dark Blade? She at least wanted to find something, something that even the theif did not know and that could be useful.
