"If I don't feel up to the choose, you will have to choose...Ahead is the Lady Earth, those who feel up to confronting her, whatever she wants...They will go. Whoever decides first, will follow me."

With those words, Xera swiftly disappeared yet again, leaving her group of loyal friends behind. She had left a maybe difficult choice of choosing. But she knew one of them who had personal experiences with the Earth Lady already. They just needed to step forward, and follow.

Oz bowed his head. The earth was guarding, protecting. Lady Earth was one of the entities that ones of the Guard must pay homage to. He steped forward and followed.

Reikand watched Oz step forward, silently cursing himself for stepping backward. He shrugged and looked over at Rauven, wondering what they were to do while they waited. He shrugged the thought off and watched the two in front. He grew antsy with anticipation. He rose onto his haunches, wondering when things would begin to get exciting for him.

Rauven looked at Reikand, as if he could read his mind. He was glad he wasn't chosen, or else he would be useless. Ancient mysteries were all a big bs to him, and he saw something in the trees apparently no-one else saw, so there was a possibility the both of them would have some fun while the others heard some crazy women pretending to speak to the gods.

As Oz and Xera took off in the direction of Lady Earth's place, Rauven said to Reikand "Don't let them get you off your guard". That's just what they wanted

Reikand nodded and rose slowly to his feet. He once more rubbed the hilt at his side. As he heard a sound approaching through the woods, he quickly raised his right hand to his mouth, kissing the stone that had been given him at his birth. It had only recently begun to fit well. He risked a quick glance over at Rauven to make sure that his new partner heard the noise as well, but Rauven was faced the other way, perhaps hearing a sound in a different direction. Reikand tensed, sensing something was about to happen.

Rauven's body tensed like a bow, ready to fire a deadly arrow. Something definitely was going on around them. He just hoped Reikand could cover his back. Hell i hate having to let my back into someone i don't know hands. Rauven could feel fire being pumped into his veins instead of blood. As the combat came near, he felt complete.

"Oz, stop."

Xera suddenly stopped, amidst the mass of foliage. Gesturing towards him, they both looked down into a clearing.

"The others are being tested. I know you felt it as well...we must leave them alone, and talk to the Lady."

Swiftly jumping from the ground, Xera landed nimbly, as well as Oz. She faced the green covered figure, one with green eyes, and leaves on her, and bowed low.

"Lady Earth."

The Lady moved forward in a slow walking movement, posied and graceful. Her words were a whisper, but both travellers ears were tuned to it, trained to hear.

"Welcome into my home...my dearest, dearest home...Oz, Xera. My name is Aetha, First Sister of the Elements. Here, I give you your first test. This is without the others. They have other business."

Xera bowed her head still, Oz beside her.

"My forest has become corrupt with one mage tinkering with the forces of nature. There is an animal, in a nearby cave rested behind a waterfall...Silence it, but do not harm it. Stop its corruption, without the death of it. Once you have completed what I have asked of you, your next test will immediately begin, all companions beside you. But fail, and never be worthy of Sharra."

"We understand Aetha." Both replied solemnly.
"Oz, ready?" said Xera.

Reikand slowly pulled out his dagger as a figure emerged from the trees in front of him. There was a problem, though. It looked like a tree. Laboriously it moved forward, slowly making its way toward him. He tried to back away, but soon encountered Rauven's back. He quickly turned and saw that Rauven had the same problem. He pressed his back against Rauven's making sure that nothing got between them. He looked down at his short blade, only the length of his forearm. It had fared well for him in the past, and he hoped it would now. He just wondered to himself if Rauven would be feeling as confident.

Thu Feb 22, 2007 7:45 pm

Rauven waited some forest animal, but never a tree. "C'mon Arastor, don't let me down now" he spoke to his sword, so low he himself could not hear his own words. "Let them come near, then run to your left, my right, and flank them. They should be slow enough for us to be sucessful." They both wait until they are close. "Wait... Wait... Wa...NOW!" And his words echoed through the forest.

Reikand rolled left, swinging around the tree. He sprung up as his feet came under him once more. He landed on the exact opposite side of the tree as before, and he held out his dagger. He did not attack, simply in case the tree was not coming to attack. It slowly turned around, and Reikand waited and watched. He continued to circle the tree, keeping behind it. He moved quickly whenever he had to pass between the two trees. When he was able, he glanced over at Rauven to see how Rauven was faring with the tree on that side. He quickly turned his attention to the tree directly in front of him. He backed up and let the tree spin to face him. He waited to see what was next.

Rauven took a dive to the side of the tree, and as he forced his legs to kick the floor to get back up, taking advantage of the haste to crave his sword on the side of the tree. However, something went terribly wrong. The fine sword, instead of slashing the tree, hit something not visible and flew away from his hand.

"They seem to have a protective spell on them, try and find a weak spot."

That said, he rolled over to the side opposite to the second tree, and rolled again in the direction of his beloved sword.

You better not have bended it, or i'll brake every branch with my own bare hands! Rauven thought, as he inspects the fine craftery of his weapon. Besides from a little scratch on the blade, that he could easily polish, nothing seemed wrong.

Rauven then looks to Reikand, feeling guilty for letting him alone with the two invencible trees.

((-_- No forcing my character to do stuffs))

Oz kneeled before Lady Earth for a moment before rising and nodding to his traveling companion. He had already solved their problem for silencing the beast, but the clomness of Lady earth's Grove kept him from speaking much. He slowly walked out of the glade in the direction of a sound of a waterfall.

Reikand watched as Rauven's sword flew through the air. He quickly changed his mind about the good intentions of the trees. Both trees advance toward him. He continues backing up. He needed to think of something quickly. He stole a quick glance behind him, realising that he was nearing the trees, some or all of them possibly malicious. Reikand rolled to the side, launching himself up so that he landed behind them. He raised his blade and looked at the trees, seeing if one changed at all. Neither did. He backed up a bit to give himself time and sheathed his dagger. He placed his hands out to the side, looking in between the two trees. He was trying to elicit some sort of response. Both trees continued to move in, and Reikand looked over at Rauven to see if his partner had any more ideas.

Searching for the waterfall, her ears picked up faint traces of the sound of water falling...She wished she could help Rauven and Reikand, but right now her moment was with Oz.

She stepped forward, looking at the waterfall. She closed her eyes, sighing as thoughts ran through her mind...

Rauven gets on his feet, and grabs hold of his sword again. He thinks for awhile, thinking what he has to do next. As he is searching for a sweet spot, he notices Reikand nearly escaping the attack of both trees. He grabs a stone and tries his weight. Nice. The right weight and shape. He then aims for the nearest tree and throws it. "As i thought. There's a spell on them. They can't feel the attacks. He grabs another. Again testes his weight, but this time throws it based on chance, not aiming for any spot in particular. The stone flies off, but instead of hitting the tree, passes right off. He looks again to Reikand, maybe he has discovered something...
