The Final Leg
This is it. This is the end. The 3 teams left after a summer of racing, gathered on the mat. Pickles and May -- this dynamic duo worked their way through bowls of schnitzel to get here. Sky and DM may have been hampered by the gamemaster's sleep one day; but that hasn't stopped them from winning. Typhoon and Miyu have not been the leaders, but they have proven to be a pain in the butt to some teams. This is it, the final leg.. All teams must travel to Sacramento, California. Everybody is on the same flight, and has been prebooked. Good luck!

Price:250 points each
Status: [ARRIVED]

Calculations:
For ease of the gamemaster, he has decided to take all your money away and leave you all with 500 points each. Good luck!

THE FINAL PITSTOP

Sky and DM came racing to the pitstop.

"Sky, DM; you are team number 1!" the gamemaster said "You win a gold medal badge you can put on your signature! You also win bragging rights. What do you plan to do now?"

"Go to sleep." Sky said.

Miyu and Typhoon arrived 30 minutes later.

"Miyu, Typhoon; you are team number 2! You win a silver medal badge you can put on your signature! What do you plan to do now?"

"I plan to bother Sky more." says Typhoon.

Image

A few minutes later, May and Pickles come running into the pitstop!

"May, Pickles; you are team number 3! You win a bronze medal badge you can put on your signature! What do you plan to do now?"

"We plan to tell the world that Miyu and Typhoon are the cause of global warming." Pickles said.

What did you enjoy the most about the game?
I guess it would have to be just lurking online at 3AM waiting for the thread to update XD
That and trying to synchronize what Siniri and I were going to do during the current leg.
What did you hate the most about the game?
TIME ZONES!!!!!!!! RARRGHGHGHGH
I think it gives some people an unfair advantage since I would be asleep when the thread updated, while say someone like DM would be online and awake when the next leg would start
Should Light run it next year?
hella yes
Was the Google Maps Interface more annoying or was it good; should we keep it?
I find it confusing at first, but once I got into it, I didn't have any trouble at all. I was only annoyed when Siniri and I didn't receive our clues. That's about it.
What do you recommend for next year's game?
Maybe more schnitzel :P
What city would you like to see in next year's game?
DUBAI! Holla!
Do you plan on playing next year?
Hopefully I can, yes :)

And congrats Sky and DM

Was the Google Maps Interface more annoying or was it good; should we keep it?
To be honest, I found it quite annoying, so I don't think it should be kept.

What do you recommend for next year's game?
Um... I'll have to think about that one.

What city would you like to see in next year's game?
Manchester!!

Do you plan on playing next year?
Hopefully, yes.

DM, sorry you didn't seem to get to do anything, but you were the sexy eye candy that distracted the other teams long enough for me to finish everything.

What did you enjoy the most about the game?
Learning about new cities.

What did you hate the most about the game?
The lack of competitiveness when we would have overnight flights that should arrive at different times but in reality, all arrive at once since they would land when the GM was/should be asleep.

Should Light run it next year?
Don't fix what ain't broken, but I do worry about him getting overworked and not turning out a quality round every time.

Was the Google Maps Interface more annoying or was it good; should we keep it?
Keep it.

What do you recommend for next year's game?
At least five stops in Japan, at least one in Korea, McMurdo Station, and a lot more California. At least half the game in California. You can do: LA, LB, SF, SD, Sacto again, SLO, SB, Tahoe, Bakeo, Stockton, Fresno, and Grass Valley... in that order.

What city would you like to see in next year's game?
See above

Do you plan on playing next year?
Maybe not. I hope to be in Japan this time next year and don't know if I'll have free time.

What did you enjoy the most about the game?
Just being there.
What did you hate the most about the game?
Well I was pretty confused the entire time. xD
Should Light run it next year?
I don't see why not!
Was the Google Maps Interface more annoying or was it good; should we keep it?
I liked it, it was pretty logical.

What did you enjoy the most about the game?

I really enjoyed learning about all of the different places that we had to travel to :) There was a lot of really neat information about each place!

What did you hate the most about the game?

I hate it when things in general don't fall into my schedule. Like this last leg just had to happen while I was moving >.< Ugh. That, and the fact that sometimes we'd get an incomplete clue and be fumbling about for hours. Oh, and having to drawn images when you don't have a paint program... be nice to us poor Mac users :)

Should Light run it next year?

Of course! Light does a fantastic job! :D

Was the Google Maps Interface more annoying or was it good; should we keep it?

I really enjoyed it. Google Maps is something that I am familiar with, and I think you should definitely continue using them :)

What do you recommend for next year's game?

Fit into my schedule please 0:)

What city would you like to see in next year's game?

New York City or Cairo :)

Do you plan on playing next year?

I would like to play as it was definitely fun this year :) However, seeing as I don't even know my plans for tomorrow, I can't say that I would plan on playing next year or not :P

What did you enjoy the most about the game?
Reading interesting information about places I've never been. Things which I never knew about. xD

What did you hate the most about the game?
Uhm, I would have to say Time Zones I guess. No way to really get around it - but that would be my answer.

Should Light run it next year?
Yes.

Was the Google Maps Interface more annoying or was it good; should we keep it?
I liked it. It was much better than last years thing. Definately, keep.

What do you recommend for next year's game?
Uhm, no idea.

What city would you like to see in next year's game?
The North Pole. xD

Do you plan on playing next year?
I'm not sure. Depends on what I'm doing next year.

Second times infinity! I hated doing the PM to Light on my Mac and having to draw stuff on my PC then email or post the image somewhere to transfer it.

I think he is just jealous that we have a better OS :P

I concede, that some of the legs were rushed. And that is totally my fault. I had planned to start on the race in Feb-March; but, procastination got the better of me. I will start on the legs earlier, and be more preactive in order to fix this problem.

I also agree with Sky, that I did a bad job with the timing of the flights. Again, a consequence of my rushing/procastination. I plan to keep the Google Maps Interface; for the majority of you seemed to have liked it.

About the paint problem -- I apologize; I have never owned a Mac before (yes, woe is me); so I did not know about this. This will also be resolved in the future. :)

Some of you complained about the timezones, schedules. Next year, I do plan to get everybody's timezones, and try to fit it so everybody can play. As for schedules; if you have a big event like a sister's wedding, or you're moving; please do tell me. As for normal everyday things; I cannot adjust the legs based on those. Sorry. :)

Thanks for all the city requests; they will help in preparing for the next Amazing Race.

Thanks for playing and see you in July '09 for the next edition of the Amazing Race: PPT Edition! :)
