Must I say more? That was crazy..

I saw that on the news. It was like, whoa......

That was crazy..

Yeah, no kidding.

Although Artest's actions are definitely not commendable by any means, I really think those fans were the ones who blew the whole scenario out of control when they unleashed their projectiles. If you really think about it, this whole fiasco wouldn't be this big of a story if the fans didn't get involved.

Yeah, news just came out that Stern hammered all three Indiana players with the suspensions. Seems like Indiana will be in trouble for a while. They were already short a few players because of injuries; this just makes it much harder for them.

I think Artest is suspended for the rest of the season. Now they're down to only 6 playes. It's gonna totally kill their season.

Duuude......suspended for 72 games. That's insane, but it was the right thing to do.

My brother saw that, and then we watched it again on the news.
That was just chaotic. I think the fans should have been punished in some way as well, for provoking the players to react that way.
Then again, I also think the harsh consequences (ouch.. out for 72 games) were pretty just. You can't be a public figure and then go pummel someone.

seems the nba needs to protect its players from cups and chairs and who knows what else, maybe they should surround the court in a big giant clear box lol of course that won't happen but it would end all the crap with the fans...

I have seen the replays on Sports Center for ages it seems. I find the 72 game suspension WAY TO MUCH!! It was really crazy all together :o

I didn't like the call on that. Artest should be suspended for about 10 games with a $$$ fine. Ron Artest just threw a couple of punches. They got hurt but those crazed up fans.

There recently was a discusson on this in my History class between the class clown and the teacher(yes, odd place for this discussion to take place)

The kid thought that it was a good thing to happen for tv and was going on and on for almost the whole period. The teacher told him to write down all the things that were good that he thought came out of it,but this never happened.

What I saw of it on The news,I agree with the box thing. I also think that the fans who started it should have been suspended from coming to the games or something

Ive seen a lot of people at my school arguing about how it was unfair. My question is. HOW COULD YOU POSSIBLY THINK THAT WAS UNFAIR? It was 100% fair what he gave as suspensions.

They did it, and they deserve to serve the penatlies, and in my opinion, should show a good sport and repent of it. If im not mistaking, following the brawl, on NBA Shootaround, I recall hearing that Jermane O'Neal was litteratly IN TEARS because of what he did, he said he wanted to go apoligize to everyone he threw a punch at, and angered. If thats not true repentence, I don't know what is.

Ron Artest on the other hand, is TOTALLY out of hand, he won't seem to repent, he just dosen't get it. So quite frankly, he deserves every game of that 72 game suspension he earned. He earned every game of that suspension that he got.

Artest says no one understands him, I am thinking that NO ONE WANTS to understand him. Oh yah and congrats Ron, you just got that month you wanted off...and more.

Well put. I'm not as much of a sports follower as I am a current events follower, but I think what you said sums up my feelings quite well.
