I actually found it a long time ago. I'm all caught up to volume 16 now.

GOOD EXCUSE TO BUMP THE THREAD!!!!
Basically, some website leaked the info that BONES is supposedly working on a new FMA series that follows the manga exactly this time. I would be THRILLED if it's true.

That would be pretty cool ...

They have a new anime coming up soon, don't they?
One that's more based on the story.

*looks at Byakuya's link*

...Yeah, that's it.

I personally think they made Ed's antenna too small.

HEY GUYS GUESS WHAT!

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood premiered yesterday in Japan, and US viewers will be able to watch a *legal* subbed version on the funimation website starting April 9th. So far, I'm hearing good things about the series.

In the mean time, here's the *awesome* opening theme to tide y'all over.

I refuse to start this anime... mainly because I don't want to get hooked onto more than one anime at a time... it's too life consuming!

I'm thinking of starting Bleach but I'm having trouble finding a place to download the episodes mmm.

Interesting that they're releasing official subbed versions of Fullmetal Alchemist now... I wonder what will happen to the subbing community?

They'll be there for the people who are impatient (like me), or for those who aren't in the US (like me).

It wa a good episode.
I'm interested how they're going to handle this second series.
And loving it because it's FMA and therefore just plain great.

And I missed Hughes.

Same and I have only seen episodes 1-3 & 24 of the first series so far.

I am also interested on whether the episodes of the second series will be daily or weekly.

The new anime is pretty great, particularly since you can torrent it in 1080p and stream it to your tv <3 It is supposed to run closer to the manga storyline, but the first episode was mostly filler, if I remember correctly. Second episode is
mostly background on Ed and Al's past.

It'll be a weekly release, you can find links to all the different subs at the Mangahelpers website. Specifically, the FMA Theater board. You can find me on that site as LadyHatake as well. The raw appears on sundays, I think, and the subs from Shinsen and Taka and other groups come out shortly after, usually on monday/tuesday at the latest.

Yeah, I need to catch up on the manga >____> I'm about a year behind :p

EPISODE 4:
It was the Shou Tucker episode...and they NAILED it. Nina was adorable, Alexander was funny, Shou was creepy, Scar was awesome, Ed was furious, and the episode in general was perfect (despite being so depressing and all). Which is a good thing, after the semi-disastorous episode 3. I'm also hearing that episode 5 was good too.

Also, I've heard that this series will be around 63 episodes long. I think I'm okay with that--if we can get up to and finish Greed by episode 15, then that will have brought us through 7 volumes of the manga, so we should be in shape for the rest of the plot. Right now it seems like the series is speeding right along, but I think this is due to the fact that BONES wants to get to the material that wasn't covered in the first series (ie Xing, Mustang vs. Lust, Briggs, etc.) ASAP, which I don't blame them for.

All ye PPTers who haven't read/caught up with the manga: DO IT! In my opinion, the manga is much better than the original anime. After the Devil's Nest storyline, things really start to get interesting with the introduction of the Xingese characters. Not to mention that, after a while, the whole series just starts to reek with epicness. :D
