Douglas Coupland

Douglas Coupland. What do you think of his works? I haven't read a lot of his stuff, but stuff I have read is Microserfs, JPod and Life After God*. Now, I could rave on about how he's probably my favourite author now, that his stuff is the best thing since sliced bread and I wouldn't be exaggerating.. But really, what do you think of him and his books?

*Life After God is unique and has wonderful insight, but I wasn't ecstatic on this style. I just recently read JPod, and I have to say, I like Microserfs more. Maybe because I liked the characters more, or because it was the first one I read. I'm not sure.

Amazing author <3

I'm a huge fan of Coupland and have been for quite a few years now. He is definitely one of my favourite postmodern authors. Of his books I've read:

    Shampoo Planet
    Microserfs
    Girlfriend in a Coma
    Miss Wyoming
All Families Are Psychotic: A Novel
    Hey Nostradamus!
    Eleanor Rigby
    Souvenir of Canada
    Souvenir of Canada 2

I also own most of the novels listed, and plan to expand my Coupland collection. Out of them all I would have to say Hey Nostradamus! and Miss Wyoming are my favourites, Girlfriend in a Coma coming close..I find it to be one of the most interesting of his novels.

If you are a Coupland or a Postmodern fan, another authour I would recommend is Chuck Palahniuk, his works are pretty good reads as well.

Hey, Nostradamus! is my favorite by far, out of all of them.
I love Coupland.
