By the way, not to gloat or anything, but I have beat him 111 times. And my pet only has 37 hitpoints. I still don't know quite how I am doing it. But have decided that I am going to continue until he soundly trounces me. It is sort of a challenge for me now--just to see how far I can go. And yet, still no battle faerie avatar.
Patience would be my guess.
Blatted him 80 times before I got bored again, might go for a round 100 though.
