OK, so I will use my laptop as normal, but it often freezes up. The mouse, all keys, and everything else freezes up and does not respond. I have tried Ctrl-Alt-Delete, but it doesn't do anything. I think it may be from overheating, but I have set it up so it can cool off when it is running and it still doesn't do any help. I don't get any error messages, the whole screen just freezes up, nothing works. I always end up holding down to power button so it turns off, and rebooting it from there. But it is really getting annoying. I usually have a few windows open, maybe 4 IE open when it freezes, but sometimes it freezes right on the desktop before I can even move a mouse. Anyone have an answer to this question?

First; What's your make, model, and type of laptop?

Is it under warranty, or rather, is it under one year old? Most manufacturers have a one year warranty on their products. If so, you should just contact the manufacturer and send it back for repairs.

It sounds like your fan is blocked up, though, so it isn't cooling the CPU efficienly. You could try using a can of compressed air to clear it out, though.

Nothing at all :P The problem seems to be gone now. I tried some compressed air, but it turned into liquid and I had to clean it up.

that is never nice when that happens.....it gets oh-so-messy! plus when it turns to liquid it might just mess up your laptop even more.
