Minority Rules 2: Congrats Pipsqueeek!

Sun Nov 30, 2008 1:51 am

WW void has been replaced with minority void.

Rules- Some things have changed... important stuff bolded.
1. Every day, I will post a question on the thread. The question will only have two possible answers (yes/no, pandas/penguins, etc...)
2. All players still in the game will have to PM me their answer to the question. Deadline for answers is 6pm NST (9pm EST), if you don't get your PM in by then you'll automatically lose a life. The new question will be posted shortly after. If all PMs are in, the new question may be posted early, but the deadline will still be the same time next day3. Everyone will start with 3 lives. After tallying the votes, the people who chose the most popular answer will lose one life. So if 7 people answer "no" and 4 people answer "yes", all those who answered "no" will lose one life. All those with at least one life left will advance to the next round.
4. In case of a tie, the round will be voided, nobody will get a strike and I'll post a different question.
5. There is no Rule 5. EVER.
6. You're welcome to discuss the current and past rounds in the thread, in PMs, emails, chats, whatever. You can form alliances with other people, share your answers, lie about what you're going to answer, bribe others with brownies etc. You can do pretty much anything short of life threats.
7. (HEY LOOK A NEW RULE) In the case there are two people left, all dead participants will be pulled back in for a tiebreaker round. All players, alive or dead, will be asked three questions. The living player that falls in the most minorities will win!

Game Point mechanics:

  • Players start off with -1 points.
  • Sending your questions gives you 1 point.
  • When a player answers in the minority, the gain 1 point
  • If you miss one round, it's ok
  • Any additional rounds missed without a valid excuse (telling me beforehand is best), you will lose 1 point
  • If you get to -3 points, you are eliminated
  • First person to 5 wins
  • If two players reach 5 in the same round, then another round will be held... and so on until someone has a clear lead

amarise-2

Me too, me too! Questions coming soon -- I had a favorite one that Wind didn't use last time, so they'll be somewhat recycled (but no one would know that besides Wind and me, anyway). Thanks for hosting, loser!

I listed my questions in the order I liked them, but you should pick the one you like best since you're the boss, loser! (Wind, the question I was referring to was the one that you said you liked, too... and now I'll leave everyone else to wonder what the heck we're talking about.)

Well
Loser has a dilemma.

My house temporarily doesn't have internet access.
I can get on the web, just not consistently, and especially not at the time I've posted. That would not give people a full 24 hours, and that would make the game unfair.

So, I propose a point system.

If you answer in the minority, you get a point. First person to three five wins. If you cannot get your response in time, there is no penalty.

I'm going to post the first question soon. If you have a better idea/objection/comment let me know....

-------

Loser hastily pushes everyone into a small room, while mumbling about having a much more awesome opening saved on her internetless home computer.

"So, uh, hi! Welcome! Yeah." Without prepared notes, loser felt very awkward without her notes....

"So, Siniri, you're up first!"

She stood up, and asked, "Is this a rhetorical question?"

Alrighty then! A skimpy opening, but a very good question. Please PM me with your choice of : Yes or No

To adjust to this new rule, you have around 48 HOURS to submit an answer.

(I'll try to be more creative next time, but this game will be a bit awkward without me having a steady internet access/computer. )
