Display your creative spirit here in the Pink Poogle Toy Gallery. It can be art... it can be music... it can be a poem (even haiku)... but most of it... it must be you.

PPTMAC December

Fri Dec 03, 2004 11:58 pm

It's back for December! This month's theme is:
Anything
Just remember to follow the rules.

Das Rules (read them, there's new stuff):
1. Remember, you can enter art of any media: traditional sketches, poetry, short stories, photography, etc.. Not sure what you did is art? Ask me or ahoteinrun.
2. In this thread, art related discussion only. No "I'm going to enter," no "what great entries!" If you have an actual critique of someone's entry (one that consists of at least more than a single opinion), go ahead and post it if you're so inclined.
3. Entries must be submitted along with an Entry Form (below). Any entries that are not accompanied by a COMPLETE entry form (Extra Comments excluded) will not be accepted.
4. Only one entry per member. Members may change their entry a maximum of two times.
5. Entries must be your own work. If you are caught submitting work that is not your own, you will be banned from posting in the Gallery. If you have any questions about this, ask me or ahoteinrun.

Entry Form:
Title of Your Work: Natural Magic
Media/Program/Type of Camera: Cropping and resizing in Adobe Photoshop 7, JVC Megapixel Digital Video Camera (camcorder with the ability to take digital stills)
Time Taken (includes preparation): Taken out of a set of 70; 6 hours to drive to Maryland from North Carolina; about 1 1/2 hours walking around the pond snapping photos; 2 minutes to crop and resize.
Extra Comments: (Not required) I took this at Allen's Pond in Bowie, Maryland when I went to visit my folks during Thanksgiving. This was taken on Nov. 26 (day after Thanksgiving). It was a little chilly out but overall it was a gorgeous day. The reflection of the light on the water made for a nice effect.

It's something different than normal. ^_^ The other entries are all very nice.

Title of Your Work: Kiara on the 4'th of July

Media/Program/Type of Camera: Canon Powershot A70

Time Taken (includes preparation): It was a day of manic picture taking, there was no preparation. While trying to keep up with Kiara, I took photos of her running away. This is the photo in its natural state, all I did was resize it and that took all of five seconds.

I'd like to submit a song. Not the best, but LJ friend's like it.

Rudolph the hillbilly farmer
Had a very itchy bale of hay.
And if you ever saw it,
You would jump in it and start to play.
All of the other farmers
Used to laugh and call him names.
They never let poor Rudolph
Join in any corn-growing games.
Then one sunny harvest day,
His landlord came to say:
"Rudolph with your hay so itchy....
Get the heck out, we're tearing apart your land due to lack of profit."
Then all the farmers laughed some more
As they shouted out with glee:
"Rudolph the hillbilly farmer,
Your bales of hay are history!

Title of Your Work: Rudolph the Hillbilly Farmer
Media/Program/Type of Camera: ...My brain?
Time Taken (includes preparation): Hm... I'd say maybe an hour.

The love was blessed, yet love hath met its doom.[/url]

Title of Your Work: Friar Lawrence's Admission (Epilogue to Romeo and Juliet)

Time Taken (includes preparation): Well, this is my English coursework, and we got a good time to work on it - 3 lessons means just over 3 hours, and it took me another got 2 hours for homework as well. All in all, that makes 5 hours.
Extra Comments: (Not required): As I said, it's my English coursework, but I fell in love with it when I wrote it, and when I saw PPTMAC restarted, I realised that this would be a cool place to post it.

Title of Your Work: Sunrise
Media/Program/Type of Camera: Casio Exilim 3.2 Mp. + Adobe Photoshop 7.0 (for adding of frame and text)
Time Taken (includes preparation): For the actual photo, well, it was quite impulsive so lets say 2 minutes. Then adding the frames and text, another 2 minutes.
Extra Comments: I still keep getting amazed by the skies outside my window.

Title of Your Work: Modern Angelina
Media/Program/Type of Camera: #15 Bond Tuppence Sketch Paper and .05mm Mechanical Pencil
Time Taken (includes preparation): 1 Month. Reading Manga How To Book and about 30 different tries :)
Extra Comments: I actually drew this as a representation of an RP character I used to play. The character I played was pretty old fashioned, wearing big old dresses. I wanted to see what she would look like in modern clothing. It took me a long time since I've never actually drawn anime characters before. I wanted to make sure it was just perfect :)
