Alien Aisha

Sat Feb 05, 2005 12:43 pm

Hi...some of you might recognise me. I used to post here about a year and a half ago :)

Anyway, the picture. Put together one alien aisha (Deformation), one lazy background and a completely random petpet (she actually has a Trunkard, not a c430 autobot), and this is the result:

Image

The sketch was done in photoshop 7, the lines in Flash MX, the colouring in PS 7 again, and final tweaks in PSP 7.

Comments and criticism gratefully accepted :)

:o This is wonderful! I love the softness of the coloring and the lineart. And that Aisha looks adorable. :)

Great work! ^_^

That's an amazing drawing! The ashia is really cute! :)
I would be nice if I could draw like that... :P

Meep! It's so cute. The colors and the lines are nice, soft and round. So it's easy on the eyes. The silver background makes the green Aisha stand out and focuses the image on it. I love it. :3

It's so amazingly cute! You did a veryg good job with making the space suit look shiny, and on the shading too. Good job! :)

Kwoot! I love the coloring and shading, they're very smooth. The ears on the aisha are awesome.

I like the style, and the work on it. But I feel that if you pushed the color differences in between the suit and the background that overall it would be stronger. To my eye, it gets a bit washed out and the eye completely concentrates on the green of the Aisha and the yellow of the bot, rather then looking elsewhere.
But still, I like it.

And nice to see you again. Hope all is well at Neocolours.

Yeah- I realised when I was done that a grey suit + grey/not-very-saturated-blue backgound kind of washed it out in comparison with the saturated bits. I may make the ground brownish and say she comes from Mars.

Thank you for all the compliments, guys, and I love the picture that's in your set, Raven Poet. I made an LJ icon set out of Josephine Wall's pictures :)

hey, nice to see you back! I remember you! :)

I must say, I'm very impressed! The coloring is VERY nice, especially the metal and metallic suits! Eyes can easliy screw up a picture, and yours make it better! Im super super impressed by your lighting skill... it looks just like where natural light would hit! My only thing i would change is to put lines behind the bases of the ears to show that there are just holes in the helmet for the ears to come out of... Like, its obvious that you just put a helmet on over the orignal aisha picture.... but that can be easily fixed if you make it look like there is a backside to the helmet too, like it goes all the way around the ear thingers :) Other than that.... fantastic pic!
