Shadows in the Mist

Curling up like wisps of smoke
Reaching into every corner
Penetrating skin and bone
Shadows creeping through the mist

Figures laughing, fighting, playing
People gone from seasons past
Ghostly apparitions glowing
All are shadows in the mist

Years later, still they linger
Unwilling to leave this earth
They must soon pass from mortal realms
For they are shadows in the mist...
