Display your creative spirit here in the Pink Poogle Toy Gallery. It can be art... it can be music... it can be a poem (even haiku)... but most of it... it must be you.

Whistle
I tried to whistle today
I would purse my lips
And blow
But no sound came out
When you do it it's so simple
And it makes me feel
Like when you feel so hungry
But when you try to eat
The food makes you sick
I used to be good at it
Whistling, you know
You must have sucked the notes from my breath
When you kissed me that night
And never called.
Masterpiece
And on the seventh day
God rested
He had painted the sky
In strokes of orange and yellow
For morning
And he whispered to make the wind
And he dipped his brush back in again
To paint the forests
And he stroked the sky
To paint the birds
He curved his brush along the shore
To make the waves
And swirled it
To make the clouds
And after the blue had faded
Into purple and rose
He saw what he had painted
And He thought of a man
And there was one
He didn't paint us
Just thought and there we were
And that's why we don't fit in
Gunslinger
When you told me about her
It was like
You took the pistol out of my holster
And shot for the moon.
You missed.

I love it. I especially love the poem "Masterpiece". I believe you do have some talent Fidds (Great for your first try!).

I really enjoyed all three. The first one really caught me by surprise, about the kissing. It was just so fitting, for a poem to go from one subject to another that you would usually never assosiate with each other.
