Luke.

Well...
You see I was thinking about Paint.
Now, I don't have mad computer skillz (check out that zed!) like others on the forums (*cough/hack Shollia*) and I was like "paints fun". I even remember the good old days using the original white/black screen Mac computer to draw on... with all the different greys... and patterns to paint with *sigh* the good days.

So?
I went to paint.

And drew my dog Luke (who has Surgery on Thursday, wish him luck).
Now, not being satisfied with a boring picture, I tried to color him with paint, and realised, that I have no mad PAINT skills.

So. I went to Photoshop.

And made this. Now, as you can see, I like breaking rules.
Why? Noise to get fur. And spiffy cloud tool background! (I think i'm the only person who actually likes this feature due to the depths you can get with it in landscapes... but hey; i'm weird)

So I showed him to a few friends. Now, for as long as I can remember the words "Lensflare" has been ingrained in my brain as a bad thing.
Perhaps it's the torture I love submitting my friends too, but I kinda like lensflares.
So.

I think i'm going to have to experiment with the idea of lensflares and clouds... to prove that something useful can be done with them.
But until that time, fear my sucky computer art skills!

*bows*

:D It's amusing...it's almost like...here's the sketch and seconds later, voila...colored...and then seconds later, whoops forgot the flash

^^ aweseome!

Would Luke happen to be a German Sheperd? The picture reminds me of my German Sheperd, Max.

Anyway, excellent picture! I like the second version best. Very good! :)

Good luck to Luke!

Luke is the son of two Canadian Champions, Vonderbrinks Echo and something (eep) Tigerstorm. Yes he is a german shepherd, so is his little sister, Gretal.
He couldn't be a show dog (even though he's got perfect shepherd everything) because of a small birth defect involving his reproductive organs (we won't go into it. He finds it embarassing).

I liked how you made three separate drawing to show the steps which i found quite interesting. You started off with a regular sketch(which i found quite good and the tongue was comic-relief) than to the coloured one(which i liked how the fur worked out, looks kinda real...a little too real o.0 hehe) and the third on was like...pro skills(the lighting really changed everything brought it to life, but the dark clouds make it seem sad and gloomy, i think you should make it pepto-bismol pink next time around=D) So great job.

Awww 'tis cute ^w^ Good drawing and colouring too! Question: Did you use a mouse?

*sigh* I envy you muchly...the most I can do is really ugly ones :P *needs a graphics tablet and better drawing skillZ XDD*

I especially like the colouring/shading and the fur.

*gives cookies*

Yeah, it's all done by a mouse in the timespace of about 15-20 minutes.
*Shrug* Not anything hardcore.

Everything was done with a mouse. I don't own a tablet. Though i'm slowly thinking about getting a super cheap one... just to see if I like it.

Who knows? Not me thats for sure.

Thankyou for the well-wishes about luke. I saw him tonight and he seemed quite happy. Acted like a goofball which he is.
Made me happy.
