Untitled Poem

Tue May 17, 2005 10:10 pm

This, as all great poems, was spawned from the depths of that deathly boredom that goes by the ame of Utah Studies.

I really don't know how it happened. I was bored to tears, so I just sort of started writing, and this emerged. I think it's about humans destroying nature. But how should I know what it's about, I only wrote it. :P

I just unearthed from one of my various piles of crap, so....here it is.

Untitled

Days of hot summer
When winters chill is far
I begin again to wander
Why are we where we are

Nature is called a mother
I think not of her this way
I see her as another
Grander being, for a day

She is always changing
Each night brings her new sorrow
But dawn with life is painting
A new life to live tomorrow

And so this cycle keeps on
But my mind can never rest
While natue sings her silent song
Far deep within her breast

We, we know not words or tune
We blunder and we grope
Unless we find our meaning soon
We shall destroy all hope

I remember when you wrote that! And managed to pass it clear across the classroom. To think I didn't like it then. I think it's fabulous, now.
