Quick Mimbi-ness

This is the second picture I've ever posted here ... and the last was maybe around 2 years ago, on the old forums! I've been drawing a bit more, recently, so I thought maybe I should be more active in the Gallery board

So, I spontaneously fell in love with Mimbi's yesterday, as I'm sure many others also did. I wanted to make myself an avatar using the neopets picture, but ended up drawing one. The background is really really rough and choppy, I know... I didn't have much time to do much, other than to make a rough sketch of what I was imagining. I'll have to go back and redo it some time

Aww that is so cute

As for the choppy background I actually quite like it like that - gives the impression of jungleness with out detracting from the focus of the picture.

It's a really lovely pic =)

Awww, you aren't the only one to fall in love with the Mimbi. *huggles* The picture is absolutely adorable, I like how it isn't just a Mimbi, it's a Mimbi in its natural habitat. (And is that a little bug in the corner? Heehee, I like it!)

Any constructive criticism? Though I guess a lot of things could be blamed on the quickness/sketchiness of it all...

The quickness/sketchiness gives it even more appeal and cuteness, it's like you've tracked the cute-little-bundle-of-adorableness all the way through some large unexplored jungle and sketched it.

I'll never get how people can do such wicked sketchs. Must be a trick of the trade. I think this image is great for a sketch. Your BG works really well with the image, since you still get a jungle feel, even though the BG is a sketch.

Igame is simplt adorable. i really like how the petpet is turning its' head towards the viewer. Though, I admit, I forgot this petpet existed.

I got nothing pat that. You shade very well, BTW.
