Photography; some advice needed

Sat Sep 10, 2005 6:41 am

Ok, now that I have my baby (my camera) back, I'm looking at the last roll of film I did.

Now, I need some honest opinions. Which one of the following do you think is best? Why? And worst, why?

And 'they all suck' does not count. I know I need work. I just want to know what is best, what is worst.

One of the ones I like the most I can't put up because it's of a friend and she wouldn't appreciate having her picture up here :P

Please ignore the incorrect date in the corner.

Edit: Whoops, have to text link...they're biiig

Hmm...

Maybe you should try "removing the distractions" on some of them.

For example, on the hugging picture (ellenmom2), maybe zoom in a bit to remove the excess background. It's a balance issue kind of thing.

Another example would to take out the (backpack?) from the locker picture. Unless it has significance, in which don't. :P

(And see if you can get rid of that date...)

(Excellent pictures by the way.)

I like ellenmom2 the best actually. I mean theres a lot of background, but its a beautiful scenery and I dont feel at all like its the focus, my eyes are drawn directly to your mom and your sister. I think it infact makes it a better photograph, but what do I know, Im not a photographer.

Heh, yeah, I need to figure out how to remove the date. I'm getting a new camera which hopefully won't log it/attempt to log it relatively soon, though.

Thank you two :]
