Butterfly Dragons

Yup, me again, with more dragons. This is nice, sometimes, when university can actually be about drawing things I like. Anyhoo, these are butterfly dragons, two specimens thereof.
^ The background for this one was a photograph I took at a garden, with a slight "paint daubs" effect added to try and make it slightly blurred. Gaussian blur took too much detail. Apart from that background, everything else was drawn completely by me. ^^

The blue dragon is adorable. It reminds me a lot of a sea horse with butterfly wings. Very cute.
Particularly with the "real" background, the Monarch-dragon's wings actually look like you took a picture then altered the head. Fantastic! Although the neck and tale is a bit too shiny for my taste, seems to contrast a bit too much with the black in the wings. But that's just my taste, it looks great regardless.

Between Mylene and me, Ledi, I think you're developing a fanclub. That Monarch one is simply amazing. The wings look so real, and the effect is really added to by the photograph background. Simply amazing!
Also, I adore the colors on the blue one. I'm sure you meant to do this, but the wing pattern looks a lot like a spiderweb. It's cool, only I keep thinking, "Spiderfly, Spiderfly..."
