O_O

Igg, you're an amazing artist. The cat is by far my favorite, though I'm not sure whether that's because the art is superior or I just like cats. =3 The fur and all is so real, and it actually looks like a cat! (Cat
s are hard to draw ._.)

I also particularly like the one of Reggie lying down. So realisitic!

Ah, cheers!

I like the middle one best in real life, but the cat looks best scanned in. The middle one is actually quite a lot bigger and more detailed than the scan made it. And the colours look better.

Wow, Igg, these are incredible. I really like what you've done with the lighting on Henry. He looks like I could reach out and pet him.

I love the paintings of Reggie. They remind me of my old dog. The colors of the second painting are excellent. They give a great impression of this dog. And you've really gotten something perfect with the second picture. The lighting and the position of the dog are just so excellent.

Wow. Just wow. I can see where the middle one of Reggie has been made smaller- if it were the actual size we could see better the amazing detail put into it! I love how, like already mentioned, that you could reach out and stroke them; especially the cat. I admire your talent!

Aww, I love the cat best. I really like his pose. His head/face looks cute. ^^

It took me a while to see Reggie in the last picture. ^^; He also has a cute pose here.

You're good with watercolors. :]

I remember doing watercolors in Art class and it's hard to get the right amount of water/paint on your brush. Sometimes the water is too much on the paper... X3

That's super-neat, Igg. You did those with water colors? Holy cow... And to think my stick people were good... ._.

Igg, you are a very talented artist! I love the picture of the cat <3 Makes me think about getting one :)

igg, those are incredible! I knew you were a good artist but... these are amazing! They are so colorful, well-blended, detailed.... realistic! The lighting on the cat makes it looks almost like a photo ... like its right next to a window.... *was that intentional?* Nice job! Wowzers!

Why! That is incredible!
I love the cat, but the one with Reggie lying down astounds me. That with water colors?
You are amazing :)
Good job!

Heh, thanks people. *le blush*

Is there something about watercolours that people find really difficult, then?

Fri Dec 02, 2005 10:40 pm

Henry, in particular his head, looks like a photograph of a cat rather than a painting. Very nice, Igg. They all look good, although Henry and the second one of Reggie are the best, at least for my tastes.

Apparently, they're much harder to control than many other paints, but I've never tried them so I can't speak from experience. Regardless of what paints you used though, I adore the paintings, especially the cat. I love how you've got so many different colours and the shading makes it more realistic. It seems so solid and just there. I also really like its position. It's just like a real cat. :P

*bright idea* You can be an artist! :D

How did you do them - did you take photographs of them first, or did you do sketches of them, or did you just do them from memory and/or imagination?

Based off photos- much as I'd love for them to sit still for any amount of time!

The middle picture is from a very bad photo, so I had to make it look much more like him. Actually, all the photos were quite bad- Henry's was very very dark to the point where it didn't look like him :P
