Lately I feel that i've not posted artwork.
So I figured I should post some artwork. This is... a class project, that I thought I might like to post. I am not overly happy with the finished product, I feel that had I more time, and more patience I could have done far better then what I did... but whatever. It's handed in with my portfolio now.
I definately prefer the sketch.

(This would be the sketch; which is too large to post... seeing as it exceeds the pixel limit. Don't want to break my own rules now do I?)

And this would be the finished product.
I am unhappy with the background and the wheel. It is a propeller on the wing of a water bombing plane, sketched at the Red Deer airport (outside) and then unfortunately colored without a reference except for what i'd written on the picture and what I remembered.
Some of my favorite pieces of artwork done by other people are sketches... Ahh... they have this weird nobility.
Anyways.
This was done with pencil crayon and a blender felt (which melts the pencil crayon and helps smooth things out) and white ink (because I cheat with my highlights!).

I like sketches cause they ususally have some details that you never see in a colored version of an image.

The finished image is very well colored, I really like how shiny you made the plane's wing. BG makes me think it's by a plain, like some place in Arizona. Looks fine to me.
The details on the left side of the image are really nice.

Wish I knew where I could find art tool like that...never heard of them.

Wow! The shines are very well done. You also did a beautiful job colouring it. Though, the wheel does look a little crooked...

Besides that, though, the is an amazing piece of work! :)

This is a beautiful piece of artwork, which you should be proud of. On the airplane, the colouring is strong, and used well, and the colours blend together easily, to form a polished, metallic look.

However, there is one thing that I think is a little off about the image. Despite the fact that the colouring of the airplane is so strong, the background appears almost diluted, in a way. The weaker strokes can be seen, because of the grainy effect, especially in the mountains.

Aside from the background, though, I love the picture. You should be proud :battar:

The colors on the picture overall are actually dulled compared to it IRL. My scanner (don't know about other scanners) does not respond well to faint color. The background is stronger IRL, but due to it being light pencilcrayon, the light went right through it.
Again, I like the sketch more, I feel it has more personality (and if you look hard, you can actually see what my writing looks like! Scary isn't it?)

I love it! Excellent job on the shines, they look great!
Ver realistic, too. We're studying aerodynamics at school, and my teacher had a model of a plane like that. (Different colors, but it looks very much like the model.)

Wow, I love it. I love the way you've done the highlights, too.

I found the sketch to be very powerful. The colorized version is also very believable.
