The dress is not accurate for the time period, I know. I got the idea for it from a historical book. But everything else was too flouncy and cute or too princessy and regal... not very Madeline. If I were actually designing an accurate costume for her, I would go with the big hoop skirts and whatnot, but a bustle always fit her so well. (She's the only one, too. Crazy things.)
