The Hybrids of Ahnta [Closed]

Fri Nov 19, 2004 1:04 pm

One thousand years ago, the land of Ahnta was peaceful.

The people were happy. They did not suffer. They knew nothing of plague or disease. Misery barely existed. And they were all under His rule. He kept them safe – they had His blessing. He was The Supreme Ruler. The One Who Sees Everything. The Pure One. He was All-Powerful. Beautiful and Dangerous.

He was the God Zuhkanttah the Almighty. He was wise and mysterious, unfathomable and mischievous.

Besides Zuhkanttah, there were four other main immortals – Leih, Goddess of Love and Purity. Rahza, God of Intelligence. Jamina, Goddess of Desire, Innocence and Peace. And there was Kunith, God of Truth and Destiny. There were other gods and goddesses of less importance, and then there were the demi-god(esse)s, which were split into elements.

All was well. Ahnta was near-perfect. There was no warfare or disaster. Things like crisis or crimes were ludicrous suggestions – they were only a thing of stories in books to the Ahntanians.

But all this goodness was perhaps too good.

It couldn't go on forever. Nobody had guessed, except for perhaps Kunith. As to whether it had been a surprise to even Zuhkanttah remains unknown. Maybe he had known of the evil that was coming. But whether Kunith and Zuhkanttah had foreseen it or not, both remained silent.

The demons came.

First it was only one specie – a creature of mostly human build, but had long, sharp ears stretching up to two inches above their heads. They had sharp fangs that dripped with venom, and had blood red eyes and lips. They could spit flame out of their mouths, and the sounds of their cold, emotionless voices were hypnotic. They were later known as the Tubirans.

All demons had supernatural strength. The people were terrified – they knew nothing of self-defence.

Chaos broke out in Ahnta. More and more different kinds of demons came, killing and destroying. They were terrible and merciless, almost devoid of emotion. They sought to destruct the beautiful world that the gods had created for the people.

Zuhkanttah could have stopped them.

Except he didn't do it – he was gone. He vanished just before the people started to cry to him for help. He had simply vanished.

The gods and goddesses wondered about it. They were stricken and confused. Even they could not stop the evil, for the demons were cunning and some just as powerful as an immortal. Kunith was questioned of it, and he answered,

The future was set millenniums ago, before the birth of the Earth and skies themselves. Even our Great Lord will abide by these prophecies, whether he likes it or not. The period of Zuhkanttah has ended. It is time for the Darkness to unleash itself.”

The people, so pure were their hearts from receiving no tainting, found that they could not blame Zuhkanttah. But they suffered terribly.
---
The immortals have killed many demons, though not enough to wipe them out. The gods and goddesses have all retreated, back to the heavens, occasionally trying to mend back the destruction from afar, though not succeeding very well. The demons have killed quite a number of demi-god(esse)s, and many, many humans.

But in the midst of all the constant death and disaster, eight beings appeared.

Nobody knows how they were brought into the world. It could not have been possible, but they were there. And they were repulsed by all – demons, mankind and the immortals.

But nobody guessed that these foul creatures, these hybrids of demons and demi-god(esse)s, they were the key to the ending of these Dark Times. For they were destined to defeat the demons and make Ahnta a world of peace once more …

***

The God(esse)s
The rest of the immortals have different kinds of powers. All have excellent senses – their sight, hearing and smell are all around a hundred times sharper than a human’s, twenty times for demi-god(esse) s.

Hartoh, God of Illusion – he can create illusions (a little obvious,) and manipulate minds. Some minds are easier to tackle than others.
Yani, Goddess of Calmness – probably the most chilled out of all the immortals, Yani’s magic is such that she can make a mortal feel so tranquil that they can be put to sleep for a good few hours.
Narika, Goddess of Afterlife and Reincarnation – a person can have an afterlife, be reincarnated or be put to an eternal sleep – it’s her choice. She is the mistress of all lost souls without a body, and holds the power to create new human bodies. She can also end the life of a mortal on earth with a single blink of her eyes if she wishes; taking back the body she created for the soul.
Bae, God of Courage – What is there to say of Bae? It is difficult; he is brave and clever, but the rest of the personality is vague and hard to grasp in words. He can be social, yet unfriendly. He can be interesting, but dull and far away. He can be very down-to-earth and practical, but soft and dreamy at the same time. Nobody knows very much of his mystic powers, for he rarely ever uses them.
Tameredu, God of Childhood – Tameredu is intelligent and loves the younger mortals. Most children admire and feel more close to him than the other gods. They will confide in him, and he will always come to their aid. When they are young they are the most innocent, and the most unclouded by human ways – they are purer than adults, who deceive themselves as they get older with their own intelligence, and are blinded by this. Tameredu is able to change both physical and mental forms of a human; make their minds or bodies grow older, or younger.

Demi-God Elements
Light – Glows yellow, with a shining diamond-shaped gem of light on their foreheads
Earth – Glows green, jades in the shape of leaves on their foreheads
Air – Has a sort of misty blur around their image, a transparent diamond on their foreheads
Water – Glows bright blue, a hexagonal aquamarine on their foreheads (and no, they don’t look like mermen/maids.)

Demon Tribes/Clans:
Tubirans – Their description can be found above in the story.
Ukatii – Large demonic wings that can flap up a storm of dust and shining silver tails that can be slashed with more force and precision than any ordinary whip. They have the power to levitate objects; of course, the heavier the harder it is to do so.
Huzukahs – The Huzukahs are evil wolf-demons. They are silent in their prowl, and they have sleek, shiny fur, with sensitive wolf ears on their heads. They are shape shifters, though can only hold one shape for half an hour with a five-minute rest in their natural forms in between.
Takius – The tiniest of the demons, they are barely up to knee-height. But they cannot be underestimated by their size. They are slim, agile, and very determined. There have sharp slits for eyes, and they have sharp claws on their hands and feet. They have the power to turn invisible and there are suction pads on their palms, enabling them to scale tall walls.

Rules:
- Normal RPing rules apply – no godmoding, powerhogging, etc.
- Remember, this RP has a medieval/fantasy sort of theme, so no technology – that means no monorail system, no rockets shooting into outer space, no air conditioning, etc.
- Your age can be between 12 – 16 years.
- You don't have to remember every single Celestial Being or Demon Tribe, don't worry. Even I can’t remember all the names :P
- Please do not overdo your powers. You cannot be that strong if you have only just started learning about your magic.
- Make sure your appearance carries half the features of a demon and half features of a demi-god/goddess. A hybrid looking like a complete angel does not make sense.
- We can only have one match of each demi-goddess kind with a demon tribe. What I mean is, we cannot have two of the same kind of hybrid – if somebody has already used Air Goddess x Tubiran, then you cannot have the same. You can, however, use Air Goddess with something else or Tubiran x something else. Sorry, I know there is not THAT wide a range of options, (I ran out of ideas X_X,) - you’ll just have to bear with that. Also, check all posts to see if I have let people reserve places :)
- If a god or goddess (not demi) appears in the RP, he or she will not be freelance until I specifically say so ^_^
- If you have read all of this post, please misspell “Hybrid” in your bio :) (Yes, I am weird.)

My Bio
Name: Caress Huzukah
Gender: Female
Age: 12
Hybird: Light Goddess x Huzukah
Personality: Quiet and shy, she rarely talks to anybody. However, she is brave and strong-willed at heart. Her temper is admirably even, and she has a perfect control over it. Her heart is not easily wounded by insults. Her speech is soft-toned and unthreatening. She is a dreamer and will frequently find herself fantasizing about Ahnta before these terrible times. She is naturally curious about things, and does not let things go without an answer. She is often optimistic to herself, hoping that one day, her misery would end.
Looks: Caress has black fur, streaked with blonde in some places, across her back and down her legs. The rest of her body looks human enough, except for her wolf ears sticking out from her head. Her hair is also black-and-blonde. She is quite slender, though always streaked with dirt. Her demi-goddess glow is black, affected by her demon side, but the gem on her forehead shines like a real light goddess’s would. Her nose is small and delicate, and her mouth is rosy red. Her glimmering eyes are large and light blue in colour.
Weapon(s): A very sharp dagger tucked at her belt
Powers: Has not learnt much about her powers on the goddess side – only has a vague understanding about how to dim, put out or light small fires. She can shape shift to appearances that are similar of those to a humans, but finds she can only hold it for fifteen minutes, rather than thirty.
History: She was not born, as far as she can remember. She found herself walking a destroyed and ruined street one night, shivering in the chill of the breezing, cold and confused. She knew almost nothing, and could remember nothing. She estimated to have been around eight years old then. But she could walk and talk, and has learned lots of things at an amazingly rapid pace during her four years in Ahnta. She has no family, of course, and often keeps away from busy places, as many would be shocked to see a hybrid such as her. Instead, she wanders around in destroyed villages, where few people are. She loves plain, open meadows, though it is hard to find ones devoid of other creatures. In the night, she is most comfortable in the forest, being a wolf demon.

||Okay, here's my bio.

P.S I decided to be Air Goddess x Ukatii instead of Uzukah, if anyone cares. :P||

Name: Syarre
Gender: Female
Age: 12
Hybrd: Air Goddess x Ukatii
Personality: Syarre is silent often; both acutely aware of her surroundings and unaware of the surrounding world at all.She is a born dreamer, always contemplating the mysteries around her, more or less living in the world she has creating herself, occasionally peering into the 'real world' much like a turtle from it's shell. Somewhat unsure of her own personality, she often changes herself to meet what she believes people expect, or to manipulate others, which she has a profound skill for. She is very passive-aggressive.
Looks: A large, steel-hued wing protrueds from wither shoulder-blade. They are most often folded neatly behind her, though she tends to raise them high above her head when she needs to make herself look more powerful, though this is only when her temper flares up. Her wings and long, whiplike silver tail are the best indicators of her mood, once you learn to read them; for her face, with high cheekbones and sharp features, is more like an imperturbable mask than anything. Her hair is an unearthly black, deep as a raven's featjers, yet seeming to shine is places like the night sky, dotted with stars. Her eyes are a stony grey, reflecting little emotion.
Weapon(s): Syarre is never seen without her glaive in one hand, though she wears a hidden dagger as well.
Powers: -working on it-
History: -working on it-

Name: Rosa Grayer Black
Gender: Female
Age: 15
Hybrid: EarthxUtakii
Personality: Cold, and unforgiving to strangers, but she shows she cares by worrying and fussing over the few she loves. Although she will protect when she has the need, Rosa is still peaceful, and avoids fighting.
Looks: Amazingly, Rosa has waist length, thin blonde hair, with pale skin to match. Her eyes are hooded, and pitch black, lips small and light in colour. She is of average height for her 'age', and of slender build.
Rosa has done and will always detest her demon wings and tail, keeping them tucked beneath a heavy winter cloak at all times.
Weapon(s): None
Powers: Rosa has learnt of, and practises the art of levitation, almost forgetting about and neglecting her unknown demi-godess powers.

Name: Nomen Nominandum
Gender: Female
Age: 12
Hybrid: Takiu/Air
Personality: She is shy and cautious, though once she trusts someone she is usually very open. At times she can be hyper, but most times she is just very nervous. She is very jumpy, and loud noises and quick movements serve to startle her. However, when she wants to be, she can be very sly and witty, and more often than not can get herself out of a major scrape. She feels more comfortable in dark places and shadows, then in open, light places.
Looks: She is small, but taller than a regular Takiu. She is also swift, and agile. Her eyes a beady, brown little slits in her face, but they serve her well. On her hands and feet there are sharp claws, and suction pads on her palms. Around her is a strange misty blur, and on her forehead there is a clear diamond. Her hair is brown.
Weapon(s): Her claws, of course. She also carries a long dagger in her belt.
Powers: All she knows of her powers are that when she doesn't want to be seen, she isn't, and that she can easily climb walls with her hands.
History: Anything from before the age of seven she cannot remember, however, has many memories after that. She was raised on the streets, sometimes working for her keep, but most of the time taking it for herself. She has no clue she is a hrybid.
Other: She's a thief, a spy, and a streetrat. She speaks in street slang more often than not.

[.:Requiem:. - I suppose I could let you make another character if the other spaces aren't filled up too quickly. I shall send you a PM with my permission for you to do so if this happens. But remember, if you're going to RP two positions, you must stay active or I will be running after you with a tridant and rifle  ]

[[For the first time I'll be mixing my two favorite things to be... because Utakii-earth was taken XD]]

Name: Oak Skar'back

Gender: Female

Age: 14

Hibird: Earth-Huzakah

Personality: Somewhat of an outsider. Oak's occasionally laid-back and humourous, but in general she's very high-strung, and somewhat depressing to be around. Most personality will be revealed through RP.

Looks: In her normal form, Oak is a tall wolf with silver fur, which strands bristly like a hyena's on her back. Nearly six feet long from nose to the tip of her long, grey tail, Oak looks to be a force to be reckoned with. Her eyes are a dark, gleaming glow of green, and an emerald leaf is hidden underneath the tufty red fur which runs from her forehead to the middle of her low back.
Her paws are very large, burnt black. If anyone got close enough to check, they would notice that the skin beneath the fur is a light, glowing green.

Weapon(s): Claws and fangs, also carries a sword occasionally for use in her favorite form to shift to- in her usual form the paws are unsuited to it.
Powers: Shapeshifter as mentioned in the Huzakah description- tends to become an upright-standing pegasus with hands and a red mane and tail.

History: Outcast by her tribe-pack, she was attacked when she refused to make the traditional coming-of-age murder at age thirteen. She was left with a long, ugly scar down her back- hence the name Skar'Back. She now travels along behind them, downcast and alone- which happens to be her preference.

||Ok, thanks, jade.

No worries,
I don't plan on abandoning PPT anytime soon...that's the only thing that could keep me away from a good RP!||

Name: Magnolia (calls herself Marr)
Gender: Female
Age: 15
Hybride: Air Goddess x Tubiran
Personality: Marr is rather chaotic, she is very mischevous and loves tricking and scareing humans. She barely faulters and is always alert. She considers any sign of weakness or pain to be weak and shameful.
Looks: Short spiked magenta hair, one black eye and one red eye, she wears an eyebrow piercing over her black eye. Her long pointed ears are pierced, six on the right ear, seven on the left. Two sharp white fangs constantly point out from below her upper lip. A transparent diamond is on her head, and the outside of her image wavers and blurs slightly.
Weapon(s): A unique weapon called Ivory Thunder. It is made up of four daggers (each with points, one large in the middle and two smaller on either side) which are placed at each of the points of the compass forming a large cross. The middle of it is bound with thin strips of leather and the centre has a hole in it.
Powers: While she cannot spit fire, Marr can blow out air which is strong enough to bend a small tree. Her voice is hypnotic and she lures people into her traps with it. Her fangs are poisonous.
History: Marr remembers being thrown out of a clan of Tubirans when she was 4 years old, she grew to hate all Tubirans and also to hate the Humans who despised and did not accept her. She managed to find a small hut in a destroyed village not far from a large human city. She visits the city to scare humans and gather food, then she returns to her hut and rests.
Other: N/A

Sat Nov 20, 2004 2:12 am

Name: Kurse (Unknown Kin.)
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Hybrid: Huzukah/Earth Goddess
Personality: She has a very cocky, ambitious personality. She is extremely cunning, and expects everyone to know what she knows. She has no tolerance for idiocy, and thus when such is brought upon her, she becomes full of rage. She is rather serious, and hates anything or anyone who finds it fun or entertaining to be random, crazy, and gleeful all of the time. She also hates to see things cry, and becomes very sympathetic if she knows what is wrong. She cannot stand people who ignore her, and it causes her rage to spark as well.
Looks: A younger female Huzukah, she has sleek, smooth reddish-brown fur, a notch in her left ear, scars across her muzzle, and a dark mahogany stripe down her back, running from her forehead to tail's tip, and hidden under her stripe is the jewel of her element. She is about six feet long from muzzle to tail, and weighs over 150 lbs. She has long, dulled claws protruding from large and agile paws. Muscles are visible beneath her thick skin. Her eyes shimmer a minty green, with flecks of morning sun in them. Her front right paw is purely black, and her back left paw is entirely white. Her tail's tip is a grey. She also has a long cuspid protruding from the front of her maw about two inches, sharp and placque coated as a deformation. Her tail's fur is rather unkempt, though when angered, it shoots up as a feline's. She also has patches of fur missing on her neck, shoulders, and legs.
Weapon(s): In human form, she carries a long broadswoard, which is kept within a vine-wrapped sheath. As a wolf, she uses her muscular jaws.
Powers: Kurse has the power to freeze an attacker for a maximum of two minutes, to use for her advantage in the offense; though after she has used it, she becomes weak and cannot keep up her guard well. She also has the power to change from a swordswoman to a wolf in a maximum of thirty seconds.
History: Kurse was born in a small cave outside the boundaries of Ahnta. When her parents dissapeared, Kurse gave herself the alias she goes by and headed within Ahnta. Soon after, she was in hiding from a group of Huzukahs, who wanted her dead, which is how she has notches in her ear, scars across her maw, and patches on her body with no fur. After she discovered she possessed a power to shapeshift, she has used it to her advantage, and has escaped the group. She now lives in a small cottage within a forest, which she built from sticks, mud, and leaves. Before her parents dissapeared, Kurse was part of a tribe, called the Muddawns. She was never acknowledged in being part of the tribe, though after her parents left, they realized she existed. Kurse was offered foster parents, and out of blind fury, Kurse killed a weak old she-Huzukah. After that, Kurse went up ranks in the tribe, and was soon given the rank of a Beta, though she discovered she could live on her own and left the tribe by choice.
Other: Kurse's parents bestowed the powers of shapeshifting. Her mother was gifted with the power of time, which gave her the powers to stop and push time forward whenever needed. Her father possessed the gift of agility and brawl, which is why she is muscular and agile. Her father taught her how to fight as a young 'pup,' though she has forgotten her father's ways and taught herself her own.

[Shadowfare's done her bio, but Eo and Jurekazi both have Huzukah x Earth Goddess O_o]

[Well, I suppse we can't wait, so we'll sort that out later ^_^ Starteh, guys.]

Crunch. Caress stepped on some falling leaves, and looked around the remains of White Village. It had once been a great one. But the demons came, and it had collapsed easily. Many buildings had been burnt down. It looked like the havoc the demons had caused while they poured down this particular street had raised so much panic that everybody dropped what they were carrying and scarpered, screaming as they knocked down stalls and tripped over wild cats.

There were a few bodies littered among the ruins, and Caress could catch a very faint whiff of decaying flesh.

Was Ahnta really once the most perfect land in the world? she questioned herself in her mind, or is it simply a myth, a tale?

The acute hearing of a goddess heard something alive approaching. Caress did not waste time wondering about whether it was a demi-god or demon - both would wish to slaughter her.

Caress was a wolf, and just as silent as one. She made almost no noise, even to her own ears, as she treaded softly over piles of wood and a fallen tree, and then leapt off behind a building, up a tall tree, and jumped swiftly over the wall of White Village.

She began walking in no particular direction. It didn't exactly matter where she went - she was unwelcomed everywhere, by everybody. She didn't even know where she came from, or who her parents were. But Caress didn't let her spirits down. In some aspects, she was lucky, to have combined powers between a demi-immortal and a demon. Who else had ever tasted such a thrill?

But being a hybrid also meant that her life's danger was raised by a 100% more than normal demi-gods or demons. Both sides wanted her killed. She was the enemy of both.

'O Gods and Goddesses bless me,' she murmured under her breath. 'Even if my life is sprinkled in horror, I wouldn't want to leave any time soon.'

She wasn't sure if they would listen to a hybrid like her. But she skipped off in the direction of the nearest forest with a small smile on her face.

Sun Nov 21, 2004 12:56 am

Syarre leaned idly gainst the trunk of the tree, which, at this height, was only barely as wide as her back. A small wind rustled the branches around her, making what would have been an eerie sound, if she'd been paying any attention whatsoever.

She'd been in the tree for nearly 3 hours, brooding. She'd hardly shifted position since coming up here; seated rather comfortably where three branches extended outwards to form a sort of seat, arms folded across her chest, one wing on either side of the trees trunk, and her tail coiled around the centermost branch.

Only now, when the fairly chilly wind began to pick up, did she become aware of the discomfort she'd ignored for the last few hours. She rose to a crouch, loosening her tails grip on the branch. She had just spread her wings, preparing to depart-though to where, she did not know-when she saw a figure coming towards the forest, apparently fromt he direction of White Village.

It was the first person she'd seen in a while, preffering to isolate herself from the world in general, for fairly obvious reasons, and she was fairly puzzled as to how to treat the situation. Finally, she decided to merely stay put.

Who knows whether or not he-or is it a she?, I cannot tell-will even come here? He (she? It?) might not even bother. We'll see when the time comes.

Sun Nov 21, 2004 3:03 am

Nomen closed her eyes as the soldiers passed under her. Musn't be seen, musn't be seen, oh, please, don't let me be seen... Once again, luck was with her. She was not seen, even though she was clutching desperately onto the wall right above them.

When they had passed a safe distance, she leapt down. She was safe, once again. When was her luck going to run out? No matter, that wasn't a thing she needed to be thinking of now.

Grimacing, she carefully took the dagger out of her mouth where she had had it. She grinned in pride. It was very well made, she had seen work of this type before. Still grinning, she put the Dagger in the sheath she had managed to grab.

Now. Where to go next? They'd be searching for her, especially since the person she had stolen the Dagger from was very, very rich. Or something. All she knew was that he was obviously important.

Sighing, she turned, and left the city. She wandered, until she realised where she was heading. She frowned once again.

Why in the world was she headed to White Village?

Sun Nov 21, 2004 3:55 am

((It there a village on the other side of the forest? Because if there is it is now called Black Village, and Marr lives there :P))

Marr sat up groggily and looked around her small hut, she had been sleeping on a low bed under a bundle of blankets she had collected from around the village. No one came to the village anymore, and she was very thankful of this, she liked the peace and quiet of the desolate village. Mind you, she also loved to visit the city and torment people, it brought a smile to her wicked lips and she jumped out of bed and walked over to the small cupboard she kept food in. She grabbed a paper bag filled with thin crackers and began eating them slowly. She's rest here today, then tomorrow she'd head for the city to get more food and have some fun. She could rest in the White Village on the way there and back, and she might even find something valuable on her trip.

Marr cackled and tossed the crackers back into the cupboard, she kicked it shut and walked over to a broken chair with a blanket over it. She sat down lazily on the chair and leant under the small table next to it to pull out a large shining weapon. She twirled it around expertly in her hands, giggling maliciously when it sent a spark out, then she jumped back onto her bed and used one of the blankets on it to polish her weapon before hugging it to her chest and lying back onto the matress to rest.

Sun Nov 21, 2004 7:41 am

[Black Village, White Village. I suppose the forest could be called Grey Forest :P]

Caress approached the forest. She walked in a few metres into it before sitting down, her back leaning on a large, thick trunk. She never went in too deep, in case she came across a Huzukah pack. Of course, they would most often be expected to be wrecking havoc and causing devastation, but some Huzukahs did roam forests, like regular wolves. Only the wolves that existed one thousand years ago in Ahnta were not particularly dangerous at all.

Caress preferred to keep away from full-blooded Huzukahs. She did not wish to fight. Her demi-goddess side gave her a soft, peaceful nature. Though not all demi-gods and goddesses were so friendly, not after Zuhkanttah left.

But the young girl (she thought of herself as a "girl," though she was far from it,) felt quite happy. She did not fear prowling Huzukahs at the moment.
