It's back! That's right, the Amazing Race is back on PPT for another year. This year, we've opened 11 spots; as opposed to last year's 8. All those entering must need a partner.


Rounds

Legs will last approx. 24 hours in length. The last team to PM the host (me) or not to PM the host at all : will be eliminated. Only one member of your team has to PM me. If no member on your team can be present on that day, please PM me.


Rules

This year we are using a Google Maps interface (see below for example). Which means, clues will be posted on the map which is on a website which will be provided to you. You must then perform the challenges and navigate yourselves to the next clue. Once you have done a challenge and it requires an answer, you must PM the gamemaster (me) with the answer. You may then move on; however you may have to go back if you answer is deemed wrong. If you do not PM or get the right answer, you will be marked as "not checked in" at that area. Pitstops will be handled the same way as last year, PM the gamemaster ASAP when you have reached the pitstop. You will get 1000 points each round. FLIGHT INFORMATION will be posted on the forums ONLY. If you need to buy any other methods of transportation, those will be posted on the clues.

Flight Terminology

[DEPARTED] - The Plane has left.
[ARRIVED] - The Plane has arrived.
[FILLED] - The Plane is filled.
[OPEN] - This plane still has available seats for you to book.

However, for filled flights : you can request to be on standby. However, there is no guarentee that you will make the flight.

PM the game master, to book a flight. Once you have booked your flight (see how to below), you are as good as on the flight : even if you don't show up online when the plane leaves. You must wait for your plane to land, before you use the maps interface.


Transportation



As always, PM that to the gamemaster when buying a ticket, etc.

Examples:

We buy 2 tickets for American Airlines Flight 8346 for 200 points to travel to Los Angeles

We hail a taxi for 50 points to travel to Los Angeles

Note, when buying a plane ticket/transportation: please specifiy which one it is. For example: We buy 2 plane tickets for American Airlines Flight 2942 for 200 points.


Items



Examples:

We buy a fast foward for 1000 points

You may lie to other teams about what you are doing/buying. You may not give them fake clue awnsers, or give them clue awnsers at all! All transactions must be done by PM.

Items that are given away/can be bought:

Fast Fowards - 1000 points
Yields - 850 points

Terms

Fast Fowards - Take you straight to the pit stop.
Yields - Delays other teams.
Non Elimination Rounds - Are rounds where no one gets eliminated

Each leg is 24 hours, it is in your best intrests to submit the answers ASAP; but no there is no given time to submit your answers by.

If anyone doesn't have a partner, I'll go with them.
