You are absolutely more than welcome to loiter around in whatever room you'd like. For instance, if you ate something that didn't agree with you, you can stay in the Prefect's Bathroom for the duration of the game. There is no requirement that you have to move to a different room the next night. That being said, even if you decide you would like to remain where you are, we still require a PM for the night saying your location - we will not by default leave you in the room you were in the night before.
