The PPT Apprentice 2 [Winner Announced] [PPT APPRENTICE 3?]

Fri Dec 24, 2004 7:22 pm

Welcome to the PPT Apprentice 2! Yes, we're back and this time, with newer twists, newer challenges and of course, newer competitors. The PPT Apprentice is meant to challenge your intelligence, creativity and of course, your determination to succeed.

But wait, you have never played the game? Than read the following paragraph as it will explain the rules. And if you have played this game before, read it anyways because some new twists are revealed.

The PPT Apprentice, that is what I'm looking for, someone who upholds the name of PPT and can live up to its reputation. Every week, I will give you a task and a deadline. All tasks must be handed in by the deadline or else, it's an automatic firing. This applys to everyone unless you have a valid reason. The judges and I will evaluate your entries and discuss on who we think should be fired. We will also discuss who did the best job and that person will recieve an exemption from being fired in the next job. However, this does not mean that person can slack off. If they do not hand in the next task without a valid reason, they will be fired.

Next is the boardroom. The boardroom is a place where you hope you never see. You never want to be in the boardroom but alas, many of you will be in there and many of you, will be fired. Each boardroom, two candidates will be fired. Remember, if you have exemption, you cannot be fired. The day after the boardroom, a new task along with a deadline will be given. This will continue till there is one person remaining and that person will become the PPT Apprentice.

Final Boardroom

This if the FINAL Boardroom of the season. You do want to be mentioned here -- as you may be hired to become the PPT Apprentice. But before we announce the winner, let's assess everyone.

Ziggy, you said you had the task done, but you had this whole week to post it, unfortunately you didn't.

Eidolon, I loved your site. Even though it was made from a template, I love the look of it. It's very organized but as Yoshi said in your rating, you should've added some original ideas to make it your own. I visited a lot of pages and found no broken links, and even though your website seems to be just starting, I believe it will become a great success. Great job!

I apologise to everyone who had to witness such a tragedy that the runner ups could not finish the task. I am deeply disappointed with them and I feel very bad for Eidolon who finished the task. She clearly put effort into it and I applaud her for that.

Therefore, the PPT Apprentice is....EIDOLON!!! Congratulations! Please post a trade link here and your prize money will be awarded to you.

For some reason ammer when I think of an advertising campaign I always think of leaflets, so would a mock leaflet be allowed?

Oooh! I have an idea of what I could do. If you do an image, are there any size restrictions we should be aware of?

Oh, this one is tougher. I guess I'd better come up with an idea and get working on it. :)

I'm having so much fun doing this one :D I'll probably have it done by this weekend, allowing for school and such.

I'd like to personally thank you all for the submissions from the last task. All (or most, if something comes up that forces us not to allow it) the articles will be published in future issues of the Pink Ink. :D

(Wind, I'll count your article as a submission as well.)

Don't feel that you need to put mine in as christmas is long gone by now so my article is perhaps not that appropriate! What can I say, I was having a bad week! Im definately going to write another article for the pink ink though!! :D

Nope.

And we'll miss you Unot.

Mr. Ammer, may we make multiple thing? I.e., more than just 'an image' or something? Can it be a huge campaign, is what I am asking?

Thu Jan 20, 2005 3:49 am

Yes, like an image and a written campaign?

Thu Jan 20, 2005 6:04 am

that's what I was planning on doing - a text part with corresponding images, et cetera.

Thu Jan 20, 2005 6:24 am

I think I'm going to have to drop out now...sorry, Ammer. Writing the article was really fun :) Having no inspiration now combined with having crazy homework lately really isn't going to work out though.
