The Greatest Story Ever Told ---- Winner announced!

Welcome to The Greatest Story Ever Told, our aim is to find the Greatest story teller on PPT... Only one can win the grand prize of 100,000np!
Contestants will have to compete in Chapters. Each chapter will have guidelines about what your story should include, sometimes these will be very detailed and other times most of it will be left entirely up to the individual. Any requirements given must be followed or the story will not be accepted, where ever possible you will receive a pm telling you of this.
Each chapter will last approximately 1 week, 5 days to write and 2 days for reviewing, this is subject to change though.
Example of a chapter:
This is just an example, actual chapters will vary so as to cover as many different types and styles of writing as possible. There are also a couple of twists planned, consider yourself warned!:P
Critics will then comment and offer advice/constructive critisism on your story and rate it from 1 - 10. Depending on how many people enter the person/people who rated the least will be out of the contest until there is only one winner!
Critics will PM their reviews to me and I will combine and post them. Hopefully this will ensure we get honest and unbiased reviews, although I have complete faith in the critics!:)
As a bonus, the person with the highest rating in each chapter will get their story published in the next edition of pink ink!:)

Before I get started I would just like to say again, thank you for taking the time to write such great stories. I know it is hard to write a story when given requirements and a deadline, especially if it is a genre you are unused to. The general mood with the critics is that you have all improved to some extent and we have all greatly enjoyed reading your stories.
Also, to .:requiem:. and Jabond, I liked both of your stories and would have loved to be able to include them in this chapter. Unfortunately though that wasn't possible, however I really hope I will see you two when I start TGSET * 2!:P

Council of the Night - Matt
We mainly seem to agree that you have a natural talent for writing and your descriptions were very clear and added a definate mood to the story. However, some of us felt that the idea of a ghost killing a dog was not so much scary as rather distasteful. Having said that though your ending was alot better than the last chapter and we were impressed with that.
We liked: Your descriptions and the ending.
You should work on: Thinking about who will be reading your stories and try not to offend the readers.

We all seem to agree that this was a very good story, you kept our suspense about who was going to 'win' until right to the very end. Some of the dialogue was a little confusing though and we had to think about who was talking, but apart from that it was very well written.
We liked: The idea, it was very good and well written. The way you kept us in suspense and built up the atmosphere.
You should work on: Making the dialogue clearer.

We are a little divided on your story, while some of us liked your ending and the little twist you added by not having your character die. Some of us felt that it was a bit of a let down (the more eviler of us I should say!) and left the story open. We are all in agreement thought that it was really well written though.
Jo note: Your main character seemed to be human. While the headless horseman was definately non human, he was more of a secondary character as the story was written from the human characters perspective. Tut tut for not following the requirements
We liked: Your writing, it was laid out really well and very descriptive. That you took an old story and gave it a new twist.
You should work on: Your endings, for some it was a little anti-climatic.
Ratings: You are docked 1 point from each judge for failing to fulfil one requirement.

We all enjoyed your story and felt particularly that the first part was really well written. However, the ending was a little disappointing and could have done with a bit more time spent on it. It seemed, to some of us, to be rather hurried and slightly predictable. Perhaps try to add a couple more twists next time!
We liked: The beginning you spent alot of time drawing us into the story and we got to know a little more about the character. Your writing was really good and you used nice description.
You should work on: Your endings, I've already said this before but I'll say it again; it really is the last impression the reader gets of your story, it's what we remember most.

We all enjoyed your story, particularly the Indian Aspect. Your writing was very detailed and well thought out. However, the ending could have been a little better some of us thought, with a little more explanation into the relationship of the two coyotes.
We liked: Your story as a whole, it stood out to us. Your writing was very clear and well written.
You should work on: Your ending, some of us felt it was a little predictable and left a couple of questions unanswered.

We all felt that this was a really promising story but it was hurried and therefore lacked a little in description. The main thing we would have liked to know more about was why Thomas turned into a wolf and about his relationship (if any) with Sandra, why did he target her? What you did write was very good and you show real talent in writing in this genre, it was very spooky to alot of the critics!
Jo Note: You didn't reach the minimum words needed to fulfil all of the requirements, tsk tsk slap on the wrists!:P
We liked: The spookiness! You scared quite a few of us The storyline, it showed real promise.
You should work on: Obviously spending more time on it. Also, building up the characters a little more, we didn't actually get to know Thomas and Sandra.

I want to thank the judges again for reviewing my story. I appreciate the advice and I'm hoping to work on my endings. I'm also glad that I didn't do as poorly as I thought I would. I don't usually write anything like that so it was a stretch for me. Thanks Judges for reviewing the stories!
