Decipher my crazed phrase (Answer Posted, Ye Punies)

Sat Apr 02, 2005 1:41 am

From Tharkun's fevered mind:

Mad-Eye Moody: Stones are all well and good, but mumblety-peg is the sport of MEN! Whoops, wrong script...

If no one gets it within a day, I will post a hint, and on the next day, and so forth. Second guesses allowed. The winner gets a poem on the subject of their choice.

(Fandom poems allowed - I have a lot of fandoms - but prepare a second choice if there's a chance I might not know what you're talking about.)

This is actually Tharkun circumventing the double-post rule.

HINT: Mumblety-peg is a game in which one throws a knife into the air and, if it lands point-first in the ground, he pulls it out with his teeth. Except without the teeth part. That would be bad.

HINT: Check out the real Moody's credentials.

(Okay, why does he have to be Moody? Because that "real Moody" thing isn't what it looks like, 'kay?)

HINT: The musician says that mumblety-peg is a rousing blend of Homeland and Heroism. The photographer says it's a slow game. As for Mad-Eye Moody, he's so excited he could scream.

If I should just tell you all, let me know.

So....tell me....what are we trying to figure out again? o_O

Gaar, Thar posted on my account o.o;;

A GOOD hint: Think of the actor for Mad-eye Moody. What other movies has he been in?

you can always add an EDIT you know...

I've kept my eye on this and basicly it confuses me...with no futher explanation it's hard to give you want your asking for.

Are you wanting the name of the guy, what other movie this was said in, is it a paraphrase of something else.

I just have no clue as to what you want..therefore I really can't play lol

Umm... The most I can decipher is the guy playing Mad-Eye read from the wrong script...

Yeah...I don't really get what we're supposed to do...

You're supposed to say what the quote in the first post means.

Mon Apr 11, 2005 6:03 am

Well...The actor is Brendan Gleeson, and the movies he's been in are mostly drama...Hmm...I hate you Liv >.< grr

HINT: Luckily, there is no need to bathe before getting your arse kicked.

Mon Apr 18, 2005 12:24 am

HINT: Because, given the time period, he probably didn't bathe.

If no one responds by Wednesday, I'll just tell you the answer, and no poems for you.

AH-HAHAHA! BUAHAHAHAA!

Braveheart! The very last scene, where Robert the Bruce takes up the sword, and Hamish (Brendan Gleeson) throws one in a hugely dramatic fashion. And if that thing weathered an infantry charge to stay stuck in the ground, I would hate to see anyone try and pull it out with his teeth. Besides, it would totally ruin the mood.

The last two clues are from "I hope you've washed your arse; it's about to be kissed by a king."
