Yes, that's right. I have decided to bow to the masses and get a set. Those cryptic things I've been putting in my sig periodically I can just post on the Harry Potter thread, along with an actual EXPLANATION.
Anyway.
Prizes
First Place - 50,000 NP and my entire stash of snowballs and battlecards
Second Place - 25,000 NP
Third Place - 10,000 NP
Guidelines
1. It must leave room for people to believe that I am female. No, really, I am.
2. Harry Potter is good, but not essential. I am very open to Braveheart, Lord of the Rings, Phantom of the Opera, Star Wars (prequels or classics), Disney movies dating from Little Mermaid to Lion King, Dune, Ender's Game, and Eragon (keeping in mind that I haven't read Eldest yet). I'm even open to the random-anime-girl bit that seems to be the trend hereabouts.
3. Colors can be anything, as long as they aren't pastel or bright, cheery yellows and pinks. However, I dislike the techno-grid.
4. Good quotes to use:
We must not sink beneath our anguish... but battle on.
It's hard to wring your hands while you're rolling up your sleeves.
What's comin' will come, an' we'll meet it when it does.
Calves are easily bound and slaughtered, never knowing the reason why
But all those who cherish freedom, like the swallow, must learn to fly.
There are things worth dying for!
Recieve what cheer you may; the night is long that never finds the day.
I have no words - my voice is in my sword, thou bloodier tyrant than terms can give thee out.
What are the mem'ries we value so highly, that we keep alive in that flame?
What's the commitment to those who have died, that we cry out they've not died in vain?
We have come this far, always believing that justice will somehow prevail
This is our burden, this is our promise, and THIS is why we will not fail!
(You can excerpt the above, obviously.)
Every man dies - not every man really lives.
If a quote evokes courage or freedom, you can't go too far wrong.
Those are the basic guidelines - let's see what you have!
EDIT: Oh, yes, it closes on October 1 and judges on October 15.
