Spiralethe's Way Awesomer Than Awesome Set Contest [Judged]

I've been too busy to make sets. Now that I'm on holiday, I'm home and without Photoshop. What else is there left to do but have a set contest?

The Rules:

- You can enter as many sets as you want.
- If you entered multiple sets, only one will win.
- I'll give you three weeks: unil January 4th (time subject to change depending on the number of entries).
- No holiday themes (i.e. seasonal sets are okay, but nothing to do with a particular holiday).

The Goodies:

- First place winners get 100,000 NP.
- Second place winners get 70,000 NP.
- Third place gets 40,000 NP.
- 1-3 runner ups (depending on the sets) will receive NPs and/or a nice item.

Some Hints:

- I'm looking for well put-together compositions.
- Creativity will definitly get you points (the more creative the better).
- Don't over do it (I like well placed minimalism), but I do love well placed complexity.
- If you choose to use a subtext, I like clever subtext as well as song lyrics (winkwink), famous quotes or poetry.
- I don't particularily like real people in my sets, but if you can do it well, it would be very much appreciated since I tend not to have people sets.
- Don't be afraid to be artsy and try something new.
- Don't be afraid to be offbeat.
- I also enjoy landscape and random things (like thunderstorms, pretty paintings, faeries, etc).
- I despise gratuitous animation, but well placed animation is welcome.

- Bands: Pavement, The Arcade Fire, The Microphones, Modest Mouse, The Magnetic Fields, The Appleseed Cast (winkwink), Radiohead, Explosions in the Sky, Stellastarr, Shout Out Louds, The Beatles, Neutral Milk Hotel (winkwink)
- Celebrities: Thomas Kretschmann, Milla Jovovich, Liam Neeson, Ewan McGregor, Ian Mckellen, Hugh Laurie, Angelina Jolie, Cillian Murphy, vintage film stars
- Literary artists: E.E. Cummings, T.S. Eliot, Kurt Vonnegut, J.R.R. Tolkein, Albert Camus
- Colours: any, as long as they look good
- Anime and Manga: Revolutionary Girl Utena, CLAMP, Kaori Yuki (yum)
- Movies: Lord of the Rings, Amelie, Trainspotting, Amadeus, Princess Mononoke

You don't necessarly have to follow the guidelines. I might still pick a set that doesn't have anything that I've listed above if it's a really good set. If you have any questions about anything (preferably pertaining to the contest), ask away.

Not sure how this turned out because I'm doing it on a computer who's settings I haven't used before but I suppose I'll have to see once I get back to my usual computer. Anyways, enjoy!

Wasn't sure if that one was a bit too "busy" so I made a simpler one - no subtext and uniform. If I can get some inspiration as to how to put the subtext on in another way later I'll post again.
