Ten Little Indians

Overview of Game:

(Note: Throughout this documentation, I will only use the pronoun “he”, but treat it as gender-neutral.)

Congratulations! You’ve received a special ticket inviting you to Indian Island, as part of a free vacation. You are one of many who received such an invitation, and while you seem suspicious of this whole thing, you’ve always been careful to take anything you can get free. So, you come.

And then the death deaths begin. One of the invited will be mysteriously killed, perhaps by outside forces, and perhaps... murder? One person will be designated as the killer in this story, and your goal depends on your role in this story:

The Killer:

The Killer is the mysterious person causing all of these deaths, unless of course something else kills someone. He may have killed before coming to this island, or not. He will have the official list of all innocents and guilties. His goal is to kill all of the guilties, but he can, and should, kill innocents to lower suspicions. If he dies, the game might end... or perhaps... no, I shouldn’t tell you yet. The only ways for him to win is to either kill all of Guilties and leave the island successfully, or to simply kill everyone. There might be other ways to win; I couldn’t tell you for sure.

The Innocents:

The Innocents are the Killer’s secondary targets. You don’t have as much risk of being killed unless a way off of the island is found. Then- lucky you!- the Killer might decide to leave you all without killing you. That, also would be a win for the Killer, but you might not know it, because a crafty killer won’t try to let you realize that he’s gone. If this happens, and it probably will, then a new Killer will come up from the Guilties. Each innocent will know of two people who might be innocent- one who is, and one who isn’t. No two innocents will know of the same person being innocent, unless they’re not. Then, they might. The only way for them to win is to get a Guilty to kill the Killer. Then, hopefully, the Guilty who becomes the Killer will kill the other Guilties. The only circumstance under which an Innocent should kill someone is if the only people left are Innocents- and the Killer. Then the Innocents would still technically win. Otherwise, the killing Innocent will become the Killer. It is possible to have a Double Killer Situation, in which at least one Guilty, one Innocent, and one Killer remains. If an innocent in that situation kills a Guilty, both Killers will be able to kill others, and, theoretically, they could kill each other. This is the only situation in which there would be no winner, and only if they kill each other when no other players remain. That, of course, is pretty unlikely, so you shouldn’t worry about it. However, a draw in the final two is better than a theoretical guaranteed loss, in which case your best option would be to produce a DKS.

The Guilties:

The Guilties all killed someone prior to coming to the island. They are the primary target of the Killer, but since they’re condemned to death if the killer lives, they can freely kill someone if told to by the Innocents. If you read this, mention potato chips when you PM me your application. Otherwise, I will ignore it. Each Guilty will know of two people who definitely are NOT the Killer. The only way for the Guilties to win is for the Killer to die, and for them to escape the island. They might have other ways they could win, including the possibility of becoming a Killer. A Guilty will not become a Killer for killing a non-Killer.

Killing:

If you kill someone, you must send me the following application:

Person who will die:
Time of death:
Cause of Death:

If all of the Innocents PM me staring who they believe the Killer is, and they all agree, they can pick a Guilty from a list of a maximum of two Guilties. If they receive only one Guilty, that Guilty will be the only Guilty left. Then, the Innocents should kill that Guilty and win. If they receive an empty list, they are the only ones left and they should kill the remaining person.

Game End:

The only ways for the game to end are:
-An entire group leaves the island by escaping-Innocents or Killers can do this, but only if all Guilties are dead
-Only innocents are alive, Innocents win
-Only the killer is alive, Killer wins
-Everybody dies- DKS, draw
-?

well, if you enjoy playing roles, then you can create a new character. or, if you just want to play as yourself, you can do that too.

Also, you can only have one character.

As of this writing, we've had a tater chip person from China and a space alien, so don't be afraid to have a... strange... character.

Also, could we keep in mind that I am under no obligation to let you have any idea whats happening, and even do things that completely bend the depth of the rules until it is a beast of unrecogniton?

-as in, don't expect anything to actually happen.

You said tomorrow, but you didn't get it in until the next year! :P

Would anyone here like to know the truth behind this game's biggest secret? It's good, let me tell you.

Me!

Oh hush, I've heard enough of those stupid New Years puns. :P
*pokes* John had to wait a year. Surely he can wait while I eat KFC, right?

In this game the goal is to kill every opponent and hope your opponents don't bring you down to the grave. Some people will be victims, one the murderer his/herself, and some simply in the middle. What none of them know is that when they kill, they can't guarentee that the target will die...

Now everyone knows it. :P

Sound fun is it kind of like Agatha Christies " And then there were none?"

Yes; the original name of the novel was Ten Little Indians.

And you figured it out quite quickly; good job.

The entire method of pickage for which kills will be successful is all mathematical, so it's your own fault if you aren't successful.
