Hate to nitpick on your first attempt, but the only problem I really see is using one of Sora's specials. Specials are handed out by the GM only, unless you buy one with your points. They are for use only in the round they are given out in (although there are ways around this). No need to be put off by this minor setback. It is hard hopping into a new game right away. If anything, it is my fault for not being clear enough with the rules. Good news, Sora does have a Trinity Limit special that will get used eventually, and it is a lot stronger than you give it credit for. No worries.

For now: I'm going to just count this as a regular attack (-3 damage) agains Sonic, unless you tell me otherwise before the round is over.

Again, sorry. This was really my bad. Thanks! Hope this doesn't scare you from playing.

To all of those interested in joining, there are no sign ups. You can just start playing right off the bat.

Story as of now:

Guard Armor strikes Pikachu for -4 damage. Giga Koopa uses Whirling Fortress to strike Guard Armor and Ness for -3 damage each. Black Mage grabs Terry and throws him at a Heartless, killing it. The Heartless attack Zelda and Ganondorf for -1 damage each. The last Metroids drain Sora and Tails for -3 damage each. Despite two giant boss-level NPCs going at it in the arena, Reno was still able to divide people into brackets and run the game as normal.

In the GM’s office, the GM is meeting with two new people.
GM: It is a pleasure meeting both of you. I am glad to have finally signed both of you. I think you will find this battlefield different than the world you know. Since we are in the middle of a set of rounds, your introductions will have to wait a few days. For now, just take in the sights and get to know your competitors.
The two new characters start to leave.
GM: Oh, Sol. I think there is a team you may be interested in joining...

0500/1700 Rule: Regardless of when the last update occurred, you may make actions after 5AM/PM your time zone. There is no need to wait for an update to make an action, but it is recommended. Round 23 Announcements:
1: Bracket One is Active! Bracket Two is Inactive!
2: Yes, I know the Heartless only drain Inactive characters but since there were none this round, we had to make due.
3: Sorry. No Optimus. Ever. Mostly because I remember watching him and playing with his steel die-cast, semi-truck figure long before I got my first Nintendo. (That rule about no characters that originated on TV or Movies or similar non-video game genres does cut out a lot of cool characters).
4: .hack and Guilty Gear were the top two games I wanted to make characters for, but never did. .hack because Kite was the only one I knew that had unique attacks. Guilty Gear because I could never find good examples/descriptions of any specials (plus I never played those games).
5: The two bosses will keep fighting mostly each other and will finish themselves off. You can help them if you feel like it.
6: In the spirit of fairness, I will count Giga Koopa and a Mushroom Kingdom member and Guard Armor and the Metroids as Team Sephiroth members. (Hint: Red shell.)

(Not halfway between rounds, but I'm heading to bed early.)

The Guard Armor is stunned from Luigi's attack and cannot move. Giga Koopa gets distracted from his rival to slash Prince for -3 damage.

Below the arena, Sephiroth is plotting.
Sephiroth: Two new members! Two! Why did I not hear of this sooner?!
Imperial: Sir, we did not know of this.
Sephiroth: That is no excuse!
Ridley: Maybe your spies are not as good as you hoped.
Sephiroth: They are plenty fine. This is just that crafty GM out to foil my plans. I will see to it that he will rue the day he messed with us!

The GM is watching the fight. He sneezes.
