All right - I'll first add some commentary to everybody's thing and then the final results (+ prizes)

Please either post on this thread or PM me your username if you want your prize/item - if you haven't done so already on your post (or if I PM you saying I can't find it). ALL participants will get something. I'll hold the items for a week so if I don't get any response them they rot :P

Please bear with my amateur commentary (not too good with analyzing icon/banner things)

Shadowfare: I love that smooth border and the way you pixelized the banner with those squares quite subtly. The crop and different pose matches for the icon and banner were well chosen!

Chipper: Ahh... Cloud from the original FFVII picture X3! *nostalgia* Anyway, the layout of him on the banner is positioned nicely - some things could have been done to make a nicer font and slight size fix - but nothing too drastic.

Sunnie: Vincent is so PRETTY! GYAH *eyes it* The banner really added to the effect - and the border colour was a nice, appealing choice. I'm actually not sure if this is part of the original picture or not, but loving those sparklies and how they match the border (+ ZACK ICON! *squee*!)

Messs17: Very nice crop choice and the icon matches the border literally pixel by pixel huh? >P An awesome picture choice too - maybe a small border would have been nice!

Everconfused: Loving that extra touch of the chinese characters and dots on the dragon border! That dragon looks vicious as well - good picture. Plus I really adore that red on black effect you have for all your icons - how delightfully dark-ish. X3

Ledi: CHOCOBO! *amused* I forgot to mention my secret obsession for chocobo on the listing but what an original picture to choose! I love those little chocobo dancing in the background x3

Medusa: Wow, the way you did the effect it looks like Seph and Cloud are either merging together and becoming seperate. Gives the entire clone thign a twist - I like it! Great semi-transparent border as well - how pretty~!

gemma58: Damn that Zack set makes me want to squeal (like a sad sad fangirl). That border is very appealing for the Zack one - it looks like an old film strip - and indeed memories X3 *eyes Vincent being his pretty self* - the red border was a nice choice for the colour scheme.

Rikio: Wow - are those stamps on a semi-transparent setting? (Like brush stamps?) They're very well placed and make me very envious (I want stamps like those! *whine* >P) Kadaaj (I think that's him - not too sure) looks so PRETTY with the borders and nice stamp arrangement. Also lvoe the zoom-in effect (and yeah, he's a very girly looking guy ^^; )

Optimus: Dotted border! They look so pretty! *so used to seeing them on Lj icons* Nice overlay stamp (or is it a stamp?) effect with the dots running through the picture and Cloud's looking slick with those sunglasses X3 The crop on the icon for the set is also well done (loves how you cropped the side of the face*

Silja: Wow.. dam(n) that's well done o_O I don't even like Tifa that much but she's just marvelous with your layout of her, plus the border colour scheme, and background mix. I love how in the lj icon she's near the edge of the frame and her hair flows out in contrast to the beautiful square-esque background setup.

hellyer: Nice picture choice! I love that church scene alot myself, and a pleasant simple font and white border. The crop was also a good choice - with the church windows in the background and a nice soft effect making it very plesant to the eye.

stampsyne: You did not get that picture off a doujinshi cover did you? *accusatory look* XD <3 *stares at their blinking eyes* I can't peel my head away from it >P Also I like the nice plain background and that "final fantasy" font. Would have had an even better finish with a border finishing the edges (well my personal preference).

dargonz: Wow, in the icon, Cloud looks like he's being suspended in some time-freeze frame or something - I like the effect! Very nice simple stamp running along the icon - but again I have to obsess over the fact that a border would have been awesome too X3

Adam loves Hilary Duff: Another original Cloud picture! Loving the greyscale by the way, for some reason it blends to the background so much better than the colour version. Also, awesome choice of background stamps and layout scheme for the icon and the banner >3

RESULTS:

1st place (Prize: Cloud paint brush- for best overall): Silja for her very organised, colourful and just brilliant set (and set-making skills but everyone who participated was very talented). Everyone I could say about it I've pretty much complimented so Congratulations again and thanks for taking the time to put your effort into the set!

2nd place (Prize: Cloud petpet paint brush and a purple cybunny easter negg): Rikio for that complex, amazing set, and the beautiful colour choice to it! Loving that Seph-clone in the picture choice as well X3

3rd place (Prize: Snoogy and 10 duboon coin): Optimus: The simplicity of the picture works like a charm. Awesome job and congrats!

SPECIAL WINNERS:

Most visually pleasing set (Prize: Gruslen): Sunnie with the lovely Vincent picture. How beautiful!

The Zack set! (Prize: Mazzew): gemma58 for creating a set exactly like I wanted! And for making it have such meaning too~

Yes I did put a lot of effort into the set, but I never thought yo'd actually like it that much, considering all the other great entries.
