I'll just post a recap of stuff we found out so far... in case it helps.
There's this man, aged 20-30, but already retired because of a massive inhereitance.
His parents and grandparents are dead, he's not married/engaged.
He's walking in a city (Rome or near there) with a male friend in mid-morning.
He's a tourist going to a famous place. It's a famous place you have to pay to see.
He has with him a backpack, inside there's maps and food.
The road is in poor conditions. He trips on a rock, hits his head and dies.
After he falls from the rock, there's something sharp on the ground (?).
The friend doesn't benefit from his death.

----
Now, the questions...

Is it the colosseum?

Did he fell several metres, or just some inches?

Could his friend have tripped too?

DM was on fire! wrote:Is the monument anywhere in France?

 Why are you asking if it's in Europe and France if we've already determined it's in Italy?

Is this monument the Leaning tower of Pisa?

We also determined it's in Rome, or possibly Vatican city...
Is it a religious place?

Had he reached the place he was going? (Because you mentioned that he had paid to enter, yet the place is supposed to be in a mountain, but he died in a city.)

Is the place he was going a building, or an area of land?

Does this place have any relation to him or his family?

If not, did he have a reason for going to this place, or was he simply on a trip?

Where was his point of origin? (Where he started the trip)

Where was he born?

You answered questions both about his good friend, who was with him, and his best friend. Is his best friend the same person as the good friend he was walking with?

Was he going everywhere on foot, or just to this famous place?

What did he go to college for?

Did he finish college, and if so, what did he major and minor in?

What season was it?

What food did his backpack have, and what cities/countries were the maps of?

Did he see the rock he fell on? Did he see the rock he tripped on? Were the tripping rocks and killing rocks two different ones, or the same one?

Was the rock the sharp thing on the ground, or was it something else?

What job did his friend have?

Does this famous place have something to do with death? (i.e., tomb, masouleum, ect.?)

Why could his friend have not tripped, too?

Hee hee, lots of questions, I love asking questions. :P
