Hmm. Strangely enough it was my cable installation guy who couldn't stop talking about it. Being a cable guy, of course he has the competitor's satellite, and he just babbled on about how good it was, and how he never got kicked offline, and his tv never went out unless we had a good tropical storm going.
I haven't looked into it really, cost-wise, but since it's either that or dial-up(I asked the cable company when they'd have internet service out my way, and they said "soon" which means mid-2005), I might give it a try. I can only hope it's not $200 a month. That would kill me. I'm hoping it's less than having digital cable and two phone lines. I'll never understand why phone service is so freakin' expensive.
Thankfully I can afford to experiment. Right now I'm living off the sale of my last house, which may last me quite a while. Oh and by the way, if you want my advice, never buy a house. Rent forever. Buying a house is a nightmare. Seriously. But that's another thread I suppose.
