Mom's cat,Sarah..

Tue Jun 15, 2004 11:43 pm

A few days ago my mom's cat got two lumps removed. The vet just called to say the smaller one was breast cancer. Sarah had lump on her chest over 11 years ago,and I think it turned out fine...At any rate,I hope we got it early enough. But I would really appreciate any and all prayers for Sarah...

11 years ago? How old is the cat?

You may have gotten it early enough, but you never know with cancer. At your cat's age she'll be prone to other types of cancer, so keep your eye out.

Awww, the poor thing!

You can insure that she's in my prayers, Medli.

It's good to know the lumps were removed. I hope as well that it was early enough. They were small, so that is a good sign. Cancer can be a tricky thing, though. Rest assured that I will ask for her to be watched over tonight. :)

**cuddles your cat** I had a cat once that was older than me, I was 11 years old when he died at the age of 15.

Our oldest cat is like one or two years younger than me, so she's about 13-14 years old (in human years; cat years it's like 70-80 years). We got her and her sister (who ran away) on Independence Day, so we named them Starr (yes, with two Rs; the one that ran away) and Spangle. :P

Hard to believe that she's still around seeing as how she's fat, lazy, and vomits when she eats canned cat food.

Oh Medli....*hugs*

Most of the time I don't pray, but this time I think I will for your cat.

When cats get over the age of 10 the torrent of medical problems begin...I hope your cat will be fine.

Hope your cat survives the ordeal Medli, mine has gone missing but he should turn up soon. Cats do deteriate in age, and when they get sick ususally die, but there are exceptions ofcoarse.

Your kitty is in my prayers.
I have two cats of my own, and nutty as they are I would never want anything to happen to them. Hope yours is okay.

For the record, cats generally live to be 15 or so, but there was a cat who lived to be 36!
