The increasingly energy-thirsty China is expected to surpass Japan to become the world's second-largest crude oil importer in 2005. China's faster-than-expected growth in oil demand has lead to a huge shortfall in meeting its’ requirements from domestic production.
The shortfall of domestic oil production, combined with soaring energy use, forced China to become a net crude oil importer in the early 1990’s.
And well, as they can't use the oil (and gas, which is a product whn you dig for oil, for example) they use coal instead. Voilà!

How about an almost pitifully weak Admin?
And I dont think I'll lock this just yet. Somebody might have their own opinion on this economic lovelyness.
Kinda doubt it though..

I tend to throw all the people who can modify my posts at PPT into one category and the rest into the other one
And yes, you do have a point that someone might want to add an opinion or two here. And I'll agree with you again (!) that it's highly doubtful in any case.
