Anything and everything goes in here... within reason.

Choose one and elaborate.

I choose, err, people who criticise and taunt me on public. Well, but I like honest people. :(

I chose the second option: People who criticise and taunt you in public
I believe most people will chose the first option though.
The reason why I chose the second it because I'm very sensitive and subjective to peoples opinions. I can't take it when people criticise me. When I know they do, I worry and I mean A LOT. It's not healthy, I know.
I would rather not know about it, even if they do criticise me.
I can take critiques though, when I know it's true I do my best to change, but "mean" citiques, I'd rather not know about it....

People who criticise and taunt you in public -
For the exact reason Rivvie gave.

I voted the first one. If someone has a problem with me, then they can just tell me so. I hate it when people feel they have to sneak around it.

I chose the first option. I think it's quite stupid if someone won't say something about me to my face. I usually find out anyway, but that's not the point. I hate it when people say something about someone but can't say it to the person's face.

People will always have an opinion of others whether you like it or not. However, if people act out and cause some sort of harm to someone else, that really makes my blood boil.

I chose the first option. Personally, I feel really hurt if I find out people have been going on about me behind my back and are too cowardly to even tell me in my face.

I hate when they do it behind my back. At least if they say it to my face I can defend myself, shout them down and make them look silly.

It's not a good situation either way, but at least when it's in public I'm there to defend myself and comment back, where as behind my back I'm obviously not.
Thu Feb 03, 2005 5:12 pm
I hate it behind my back more, though neither situation is ideal.
I'm quite argumentative and confrontational, and if it's going on behind my back I usually find out (at least, I think I do, I obviously can't be sure!) and end up having a bit of a slanging match anyway

I voted for behind my back, because I find it cowardly and annoying. I prefer to be told to my face. While that is not ideal either, at least then I can consider the criticism, and if it is valid, change. It also means I'll know the person doesn't like me.

Ignorance is bliss. If people are talking about me, I don't want to know. But if they have a problem with me, they should say it to my face. (Yes, I know I'm being contradicting, go away.)

People who criticise and put you down behind your back
At least i can hit down the ones who confront me, with my awesome verbal skillz and wittyness

Personally, I don't care. If someone has a problem with me, and are too rude to say it to my face, then so be it. Eventually, I'll find out and they'll get it in their face.
So whether they say it to me, to other people, whatever, it doesn't matter to me. I can defend myself thanks very much. Sure, I'll get mad and smack them, but it doesn't make a difference.
What bugs me is when people talk about people who can't defend themselves. For example, if someones mentally handicapped and you diss them when you know about them, I'm going to have a problem with that.
Get my drift?
