Do you know who everyone on your buddy list is?

Sat Feb 05, 2005 12:34 am

Lol. I was going through my buddy lists for several instant messengers and I've come to the realization that I have no idea who a lot of these people are. :) I've been using IMs for years and the sn's have kind of piled up. ;) Does anyone else have this problem?

I know most of the people that i add. If not i use good ole "Who are you" and if i know them or if i think they're stalkerish i delete and block them.Fun!=D

Yes, I do. I only have a few people on there.

I know a lot of them, I used to be really bad about this. I had tons of screen names didn't know a ton of them. I now just don't know a few of them and have been too lazy to delete them or find out who they are.

Naa, I keep my MSN pretty clean. I delete everyone that I dont know or dont talk to anymore.

I actually went up to my limit for 150 people a while back. Like a year or two ago. Than I started deleting people and changing my e-mail, so that filtered out the one's I talk to. I have 31 contacts left. So, I didn't talk to a lot. But sometimes I delete someone because they bore me.

Yep, everyone on my MSN are people I know from real life, and everyone on my AIM are people from a certain place.

Sat Feb 05, 2005 2:38 am

Actually, no. There are a small number of people on my list that I don't recognise - I know they are not real life friends and I know I haven't spoken to them in awhile so I don't know where I've known them from. I've been thinking about clearing my list recently but so far I haven't got around to doing anything...

Hmm... of 177 names on my list, there are maybe 10 that I don't recall who they are...

What is scarier is looking at the number of names I haven't seen online in the last two years or so... I should probably delete those.

I know. I tend to keep people like that on in hopes I'll see them and get a chance to talk to them again. ;) lol

MSN- I know (erm, can you count PPTers you've never seen before as know? :P) all of them, and only one is not a member of PPT. But thats because I like MSN more, so I don't give it out as often... confusing logic, but it works for me. :P

AIM- Most I know from PPT, or IDB, but there is one I don't know from either. As soon as I figure out how to delete them, off he goes, and it will be clean again.

EDIT: Thank you Jas! Now I know everyone on my list.

All but like, one of them on AIM. On MSN, I've totally forgotten who most of them are; I've used the same screen name for almost three years now.

Sat Feb 05, 2005 9:24 am

Yesh ... I believe I do know most of my contacts on MSN, and all of my AIM buddies ;)

Sat Feb 05, 2005 9:26 am

My MSN list isn't that big, but there a couple of people who I don't know who they are..

My ICQ list however... I have about 200 people on it, And about 100 of them I have never talked to... And about 150 are inactive anyway.

I abandoned MSN after 95% of it were unknowns.
