Need Help with Scoresheet

Mon Feb 21, 2005 3:36 am

I've been appointed to make a scoresheet for the singers preforming at a "Valley Idol" in our town. Its basically a talent show, but I'm not sure what to judge the singers on on the scoresheet. I was thinking judging them on stage presence, tone, clearness (of their voice), and something else.... any ideas?

Perhaps....

Clarity of words?
General Appearence? (Kinda falls under stage presence)
Volume? (If you can only sing well with a whisper, you can't sing very well at all!)

Errm... Eye contact with the crowd?

Choice of song?

How about style overall? How well htey did at making the song their own, etc.

Interest of crowd?

originality is always a good one! You could use choice of song and how they presented themselves as a guide.

How about "Likeness to Anthony Federov"? :P

Nah, that doesn't really reflect the singer's ability to sing.

Eye contact is a must for any good stage performer. :)

It does if it's not the right type of song for them. :D

A person's personal judgment on what type of song they think they can sing or enjoy singing does not have anything to do with how well they can sing. This is a singing competition. Not a judgment competition.

I just meant that some songs show off vocal range better. :O

I dunno, I can't speak right.

I know exactly what you're saying, I just don't think you should be judged on the song you sing as much as how well you actually sing. :)
