I think I know how an Icy battleduck feels. It is 34*F(around 1*C) here in the south US where I live, we have 4 inches of snow on top of a large ice sheet and 30MPH winds. All the schools around us are closed except my college. Stupid stubborn school. Well I'm off to freeze solid again. I hope everyone else is doing better than me.

It's around 32F here in New York as well, and we just got about a foot of snow. So no school for me today either. I've been through worse, though... there was that time earlier this winter when our heater broke, and it was in the single digits outside. Now THAT was... difficult.

But thankfully due to chinook... and it being Alberta, it should be 0 by the afternoon. And then overnight it will drop back down.

The thing is I STILL HAVE CLASSES! My school has a thing against canceling classes for snow.

It's like, -20 something here, in Ontario, it is snowing, and school is not canceled, but I'm home anyway

I've never had school cancelled because of snow.
Something about it being... unalbertan.
*shrug*
Theres freezing rain quite a bit, here in Red Deer. And then snow. And the roads have never shut down. Theres a few more accidents then normal... but most people actually drive safe.
(Admittedly some don't. We call those people Idiots.)

My school is in this weird cluster of buildings, though, with paths from one to the other. To get to some classes, we need to walk outside. And since it just snowed, they haven't had time to clear the snow off the paths yet. Thus, no school.

Everyone seems to be saying otherwise, but I swear it's El Nino. It occurs every seven years...the last time we had such nice weather here so early in the year, it was 1998. We've been having temperatures 10-20 degrees (F) above normal, and clear blue skies every day. It's a party! =p

I pity all the frozen people. I live in Southern Cali and right now it's close to 50 degrees (F) outside, but it'll probably warm up close to 60 if the sun ever comes through these clouds.

It's 32*C here (about 90*F). A schoolmate of mine was just hospitalised for heat exhaustion last week and is still unconscious.
Just to illustrate the vast difference in temperature on both sides of the world.

I saw heat waves yesterday.
And today I got home all sweaty, from only a bit of uphill walking.

Oh please, I have to stand outside and wait for the bus in -25*C in a snowstorm if that's the case. And no, I'm not over-exaggerating.

Ahh, Scotland. The ever temperate country. We had snow today, but never too much to close schools ¬_¬
Actually, I think its just because my school is stingy. They told my mum:

I know. When I lived in Calgary, the schools never closed. I think there was rarely a snow day.

Hey, here we have 1-2 feet of snow.
Right now we can really make igloos with this snow.
