Firstly, I'd like to enlighten anyone who doesn't know what Red Nose Day is. Red Nose Day is a UK wide fundraising event organised by Comic Relief every two years, on March 11th.
On Red Nose Day people buy 'red noses' to wear on their noses. These usually cost £1, but you can donate more. See 'cause Comic Relief who organise it, they help children in Africa and other countries.
<i>"Since Comic Relief began we’ve raised over £337 million and have given to over 7000 projects. This money has helped poor and disadvantaged people in the UK and Africa turn their lives around."</i>
So happy Red Nose Day!

Happy Red nose day!!
My kids have had to do a 'big hair day' at school there was a prize for the person with the biggest hair, plus everyone had to wear red and pay a 'penalty' for not wearing school uniform! (BTW the uniform is red!! Go figure!)
It was fun walking to school and seeing how far people had gone though and it's all for a good cause

I -need- therepy after this year's RND O.o
My drama teacher was dressed as a superhero with love-heart shorts.
My horrible art teacher was dressed as Robin from Batman. It was like "Dude. You'd might as well not be wearing shorts O.o"
And my old teacher was dressed as catwoman...noooo ;____;
PLUs there was a staff vs. students netball match, and the gorilla music teacher was wearing SHORTS!!!
*weeps*

That's a great idea for a charity! I wish we had it in the US.

My school = crap.
Right. Primary school across the street was non-uniform, as long as they wore red. Both the high schools nearby were non-uniform. But was mine? No, of course not.
Made no mention of it all day. Some people (mostly year 7s) had red in their hair/on their face or noses, but not many.
How boring. =(

Cassi... We did nothing, too. They were threatening to send student's home who had dyed their red or another colour.

Yay, happy red nose day.
I didn't get a red nose, but I got this red plastic hairband thingy with wire out the top, attached to which were two squishy things with bobbles eyes. Yay.
I also sprayed my hair bright red, and made myself look like a twit. YAY!

Happy Red Nose Day! Our school doesn't celebrate Red Nose day because it's a Catholic school and a VERY small percentage of the profits go towards abortion clinics in Africa. Extremely pathetic. BUT I wasn't in school today as I was a Fair Trade lecture day and the main (very boring) lecturer had dyed his hair bright red and we all wore something red to celebrate.
