Yep, good ole toxic acetone (nail polish remover). We use it in the chem lab for cleaning all kinds of things super good. When someone wants to illustrate a really complicated molecule they just grab a sharpie and start writing all over the glass hoods. At first that freaked me out because I was like "hello, it is called permanant for a reason". Then someone took some acetone and the stuff came right off.
If you're going to use acetone on your arm be careful. It will take the marker off, but don't scrub, you really don't want that stuff getting into your system.
