Uncy Matt

Noramlly, I';m great at thinking up random beginnings to posts, and then going off-topic about that to get to my main subject, and I was planning on starting this one of with an excerpt from the poddington peas, but I didn't know howw to link.

Well, it looks I succeeded in going offtopic, but... well... SQUEEEEEE! As you can probably tell from my title, I am now oficially an uncle. My brother [Iain] and his wife [Samantha] have gotten together, and given birth to a wee girl. Awww :) They've called it Grace Hannah Frost, Hannah being Samantha's maiden name, and Grace just being a really nice, cuddly name.

We're probably going to see her tonight or tomorrow, and I may be able to get a photo, but I don't know. Still... SQUEEEEE!!! :D

Aww! I demand pictures as soon as you can get some.

I love babies. I want a new little cousin or something, my youngest is 5 now.

Awww, I demand photos too!

Can I be the godmother?! No, I don't care if they've never met me or have no clue who I am. I still wanna be a godmother!

Unfortunately since I am the oldest in the family, I am not going to be an uncle anytime soon. :(

But congrats Matt on becoming an uncle! It's the nearest you'll get to fatherhood without actually being one yourself. :P

I'm greatly amused by the fact that you stated the baby was female, and then went on to refer to her as 'it'. XD

Congrats, mate. My sister's kids are 3 and 5, and I miss them being tiny. Holding a newborn is really amazing, because they're heavier than they look, are mostly asleep, and move very little, just wriggling a bit, and are so warm. Dammit, now I want a baby to cuddle. (Note, I don't mean that I actually want to have a baby of my own, I just want to borrow someone else's)

It'd be nice if children could jump right from being babies to age 5, and skip the toddler years altogether, lol. Who needs ages 1 through 4 anyway?

Though Veronica (my 5 year old niece) is in that 'Why?' stage where she questions everything. It can be annoying. The scary thing about being around her though, is that I can remember being her age. And I keep asking myself "Was I like that?"

The average 4 year old asks an average of 237 questions a day :P

Is that a real fact? OMG... My poor mother... XD

That sounds great Matt :)

I've been an aunt x 4 quite a while now... I became one for the first time when I was about... er.. 8 or 9 years old I think. Not too happy or proud or anything of it though, I mean, I meet those kids and their parents (also referred to as my half-siblings T_T) once every two-three years or something. *sigh*
