So what are the popular names in YOUR area?

Fri Apr 22, 2005 11:12 pm

I'm sure this goes for everywhere. In the town/area where you live, what are the majority of the younger folk called? In mine we have:

Boys: Darren, Karl, Damian, Craig, Shaun

Girls: Chloe, Laura, Chelsey, Sarah, Stacey

I'm in the minority with my name. Don't find many Vicky's round here.

In Scotland, a large percent of the population are neds (chavs, hooligans, and for Jim's benefit, Young Whippersnappers). Now, neds are quite thick, and they name their children after their Idols. So, there are a lot of babies on Scotland called Britney, Christina and Larson. Poor children.

We have SOOO many Dannys in our school it's bordering ridiculous. There are also a LOT of Stephanies and Mikes.
Only three other people that I know of have my name, Sarah. Though it's still common and boring. *rolls eyes*

Andrew. Damn there are so many of them.

Ashley and Sarah. And just about anything else someone can come up with (heavily African American and Latino populated area I'm in.) As for boys, I've met a lot of Johns. WHY CAN'T I MEET ANY SMITTIES OR OBADIAHS?! (TVU joke implied)

Nice place you be living in.

I remember in school there were two Ericas and Matts, I believe, but besides that.. I can't think of any other names. Except for Bob. But that is popular everywhere.

Um... wait a sec.

Girls: Krystal (or other spellings... unfortunately for me, I'm in that group), Deseret

Boys: James, Sean, Chris, Bill

And... that's all I can think of... I don't talk to many people. o_o And I live out in the middle of nowhere. =P
