Need answer badly...

Thu May 19, 2005 12:29 am

Ok, you know when you get a question into your head and you CANNOT find the answer anywhere? And it will keep on bugging you forever?

You also know how people say when they are annoyed "Oh you are gonna give me odgita!"

Odgita means stomach ache or indigestion.

However, that is not how you spell it.

Please people, if anyone knows how to correctly spell the word, I would be sooooo greatful. Thank you.

Do you mean agita? That's acid indigestion.

I've never heard that expression before though so I'm not sure if that's what your looking for :)

Yeah it's definetley spelled Agita. (Thank you dictionary.com! :)) My friend's mom uses that expression all the time.
And really Trick? You've never heard that expression. Hmmm...Well now you have. ^___^

How do you pronounce it? I've probably heard it before.

Thu May 19, 2005 12:56 am

I remember back in my high school health class, my teacher told me that was derived from the word/condition angina.

Dictionary.com wrote:an·gi·na
Pronunciation: an-'jI-n&, 'an-j&-
Function: noun

a heart condition marked by paroxysms of chest pain due to reduced oxygen to the heart

In other words, you are stressing them out and giving them heart pains. :)

Thu May 19, 2005 7:50 am

I know what angina is but I've never heard anything else mentioned here O_O

Never heard of it before too. *adds to list of archaic and obscure words*
