Does anyone know how to screen shot videos? mpg, mpeg, avi

Hi does anyone know? I normally just press screen shot and paste into photoshop but it doesn't work with these media files for some reason. Apparantly you need a prog?

Because I am trying to screenshot the Hilary Duff music video, Come Clean.
When I screen shot stuff well it is playing, I paste it into paint and it shows it playing in paint......
And when I pause it, it shows it playing whenever it is not paused.....
So I can look up what is supposed to be a screen shot of Hilary Duff, and it will show the Sponge Bob Squarepants DVD that I am playing.

I used to use it. But now I can screengrab while pausing the video because I use "Media Player Classic".
