Oh no! That is really sad. I loved Winnie the Pooh and his friends as a child (I still am rather fond of Eeyore). Great man, he was, to be able to do so many voices and make such a contribution to children's happiness.

That's horrible. He had such great talent, may he rest in peace.

I saw on the news today that the voice of Piglet died this weekend too.

It's sad that so many of the stars of my favorite childhood shows are dying...

I find it so odd that the person who did the voice of Piglet (John Fiedler) died exactly one day after the person who did the voice of Tigger (Paul Winchell). Strange, huh?

My dad was so sad when he heard about that, because Tigger is his favorite out of all the Pooh characters (and any Disney character for that matter. He has a collection of tigger things o_o). The movies will never be the same again *sigh*

Winchell was also an inventor with a patent for a prototype artificial heart he built in the 1960s in the same workshop in which he created his ventriloquist dummies, Blue Star said. He also created an "invisible" garter belt, a flameless cigarette lighter and an early version of the disposable razor.

Wow. He was an inventor as well?
That's very upsetting. He was a talented, smart man. Rest in peace. :(

I heard this on the radio... poor guy. :( Piglet, too? Oh, no, I liked that guy a lot! I think I met a relative of his once...

R.I.P

He really was the only one. :( I hope Tigger lives on through him.

I agree. I loved Tigger. Ah, I mean I love Tigger. Still do. He was the renegade of the bunch.

I just bought a little Tigger wearing an Indiana Jones outfit for my sister. This is so sad. :(

Does this mean Pooh or Rabbit's next? ;_;

I feel bad. I remember growing up on the New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. My sister grew up on the New Adventures of Winne the Pooh! :(

:) I'm glad some one agrees. Kind of embaressing to admit, but I went through the old Winnie the Pooh tapes last night. I appreciate them more now for their tiggerific goodness.

Didn't the voice of Pooh die a while back? I may be wrong here... don't hold me to it...
