OK. This may only apply to people in the UK but people who've been here may be able to answer it.
Now, they have many names all over the world: hoodlum
delinquent
angry youth
But in the UK there are 2 words that people use to describe them. Ned and Chav. Now, the big question is, are they Neds or Chavs?

the dictionary is wrong, they are terms created some years ago, Ned is of scottish origin, Chav of english.
my memory is acting up so i forget the word.
edit: buh, abbreviation.
Chav: Council House And Violent.
NED: None Educated Delinquent. (scottish origin)

But they still hean people who usually wear Burberry clothes and hang out on street corners, drinking and shouting loudly. And it's Non-Educated Delinquent.

I really don't see the discussion going anywhere good since the mention of sterotypes are starting to rear their ugly heads.
